Lobsterfest Expenses

The first Lobsterfest of the new millenium brought the additional stress of an FDA crackdown on canner-size lobster. These are the smaller than US legal size lobsters we have enjoyed for the past 8 year. Evidently some bastards are ruining it for the rest of us. I learned we would be unable to get canners (about 50 per case) into Columbus and would have to settle for the larger and more expensive chix (about 30 per case). I learned this less than 72 hours before tee time which explains my poor performance in the tournament.

Anyway, thanks to the outstanding culinary contributions of our members, we had plenty of lobster and the event was a complete success. Here's how the 2000 prices break down.

The 1999 lobsters met with exceptional reviews. The 30 pound shipment was just the right amount and there were no lobsters left over to damage fingers or fill freezers. Thank you to everyone who helped make the 1999 Lobsterfest a successful event. Here's a breakdown of the expenses.
