Currently 47 skateboarding definitions
1/4 Pipe- Half of a 1/2 pipe.  Used to stall or grind on or get air off of.

1/2 pipe- A "U" shaped ramp that is also used for stalls, grinds and getting air.

180
- Half of a full spin or half cab.

360- Full spin; Cab only when the board is not grabbed.

540- A full spin and a half.

720- Two full spins

900- Two full spins and a half.

Acid drop
- When a skateboarder drops or ollies off of a large object.

Axle
- The round section on the truck that holds the wheel on.

Backside (B/S)
- When a trick is performed while spinning clockwise if your stance is regular or counterclockwise if your stance is goofy.  It also  describes a grind that when you ollie onto the obstacle, it is on your back side.

Bauer Box
- A long platform with a pole on the edge that is used to grind.  There is generally a tabletop next to the box.  If the dash was moved up to the ends of the slashes the Bauer Box would look somewhat like this: /-\. The sides aren't as slanted though.

Bail
- To jump off or fall off of a skateboard for any reason.

Bearing(s)
- A metal, circular object about 3/4" in diameter that are put in the wheels prior to use that give the skateboarder speed.  Two in each wheel.

Bomb drop
- When the skateboarder holds their board in their hand that is regularly in back, jumps and puts the board under their feet then landing.

Box
- A rectangular shaped object, raised off the ground about 4-12" that has a rail or metal edge on the side that is used to grind.

Bushing
-  The donut shaped object that is in the truck right under the king pin.  It supports the truck and helps tighten and loosen it.

Cab
- A full rotation (360) with out grabbing the board in any way.  Invented by Steve Caballero.

Concave
- The small dip right in front of both the nose and the tail that helps give the board pop.

Coping
- The pole that is at the lip of a 1/4 pipe or 1/2 pipe that is used to grind, stall, and drop in.

Deck
- The wooden platform that the skateboarder themself stands on.

Driveway ramp
- a large flat ramp that skateboarders drop in on or go down to gain speed or begin a run, usually immediatly hitting a fly box.  Sometimes used to go up, execute a trick and go back down.

Drop in
- When a skateboarder places his/her tail of their board on top of the coping of a 1/4 or 1/2 pipe and the truck against the actual ramp, to gain speed or begin a run.

Extension
- Usually a narrow box on the top of a 1/2 pipe used to grind on.

Fakie
- 1.  Describes how the trick or grind is being done.  2.  Standing on the board, moving but backward.  So if your stance is regular, then you will have your right foot on the nose and your left foot in the ollie position. Doing something fakie makes everything reversed. 

Fly box
- A launch ramp that is shaped like a 1/4 pipe with out coping that skateboarders use to catch air and do a trick.

Frontside (F/S)
- Describes a trick is being performed while spinning closkwise if your stance is goofy or counterclockwise if your stance is regular.  It also describes a grind that when you ollie onto the obstacle, it is on your front side.

Goofy
- When a skateboarder regularly rides with his/her right foot in the front.

Grip tape
- The sand paper-like sheet that is stuck onto the deck to give the skateboarder grip.

Grind
- To ollie onto a surface and slide across it in a certain style while on the trucks or on the deck alone.

Hardware
- The set of small screws and nuts that hold the trucks to the deck.  Sometimes one of the front screws is different colored to show the nose from the tail.

Kick turn
- The trick or turn that is performed by adding pressure to the tail and spinning either way.

King Pin
- The largest and main nut and bolt that is on the truck and used to tighten or loosen the truck.

Kicker ramp
- A flat ramp that is used for skateboarders to go off of and execute tricks or to go up, do a trick, and come back down.

Kink(ed rail)
- Kink is the change in direction of a rail.  So, if there is a rail with a kink, it means that the rail evens out and is level or goes up or down.

Launch ramp
- A curved ramp that is used to ollie off of to do tricks.  Exactly the same as a kicker ramp but is not flat.

Lip
- Where the coping is on a 1/4 or 1/2 pipe or the hang-over of a ramps base angle; the section of the ramp that meets the ground where the skateboarder first goes up.

Nose
- The front curve up.

Pop
- Describes how well the board can be when used with an ollie; popping the board down on an ollie to get the board off the ground.

Regular
-  When a skateboarder regularly rides with his/her left foot in front.

Riser (Pad)
- A small pad about 1/8" thick that is placed between the base of the truck and the deck meant to cushion landings or raise the height of the board.  Comes in hard plastic or a soft form.

Sacked
- When a skateboarder crunches their testicles on a rail. Also known as "Racking your nuts."

Sponsor
-  A company or shop that will pay you to use their gear or will supply you with any of their free stuff whenever you want it.

Stall
- A trick when the skateboarder goes up a 1/4 or1/2 pipe and stops on the coping in fashion, executing a trick.

(Street) Spine
- A double sided and double copinged ramp that is equal to two 1/4 pipes put, back to back.  So, if you split a 1/2 pipe down the center of the flat, turned each half 180 degrees, put them together like that, this is a spine.

Sub box
-  A narrow box similar to an extension but a few inches behind the coping of the 1/4 pipe.

Switch
-  Just what it says; something that is done the opposite that a skateboarder would usually do it.

Tail- The back curve up.
