- While filming the stunt where he leaps from a wall onto a tree,
Jackie Chan missed a tree branch and hit his head on a rock, nearly killing him and leaving him with a permanent thimble-sized hole on the right side of his head. The fall also left him hard-of-hearing in one ear.
- The musical sequence with the band "The Losers" is a spoof of the Hong Kong rock band "The Wynners". The members of the Wynners include Alan Tam, Anthony Chan and Kenny Bee. All three appear in the film.
- In America, this film was released as
Operation Condor 2: The Armour of the Gods in 1999. This film is actually a prequel, and set before Armour of God II, which was released in America as the original Operation Condor in 1997.
