In this loose remake of the 1943 film, I Walked with a Zombie, Dr. Eve Kent, an oncologist, is brought to a remote Caribbean island to treat the terminally-ill son, Wesley, of a wealthy white family, the Claybornes. She soon finds that Wesley may have been cursed after breaking up with a girl when she became involved with Voodoo. As she looks for a cure, the doctor finds herself falling in love with Wesley, but also, descending into danger. Is there a zombie in her midst?
