- In January 2003, it was reported that director Ringo Lam had decided not to do the film after all -- saying that it was too much like a poor-man's version of Rush Hour 2. At that time, the script was apparantly undergoing re-writes. Instead, Lam and Van Damme collaborated on In Hell (2003).
