Accommodations
This boat sleeps 6. The interior is painted gloss white with varnished teak trim. The cabin sole is gloss varnished teak. Upholstery is green splash Sunbrella (new 2000/2001).

The Master Stateroom has a V-berth with an insert to make a huge double. There is a full length shelf above the v-berth on each side. There is access to the forward chain locker. Ventilation is provided by two opening ports and an opening hatch to the foredeck. To port, aft of the V-berth, is a vanity sink with hot/cold pressure water, mirror and cabinets above and below. Adjacent to the vanity is a door to the head. To starboard is a hanging locker, whose door doubles as a privacy door for the forward cabin.

The Head, which is to port immedately aft of the forward cabin has two doors, one to the central passageway and the second to the forward cabin. The head itself is a solid bronze Wilcox Crittenden Junior Type II (completely reconditioned in 2000). The sole consists of a gloss varnished teak part outboard with a fiber glass pan amidships that drains into a 70 gallon sump tank. There is a hot/cold pressure shower. Ventilation is provided by an opening port and an overhead cowl vent on a dorade box. Opposite the head to starboard is a five drawer dresser with a shelf, with an opening port above and a large storage compartment below (backup anchor and rode stored there). The dresser drawers are gloss varnished teak.

The Main Salon has a U-shaped dinette to port that makes into a 6'6" double berth by dropping the table down. To starboard is a 6'6" setee. There are large shelves behind the settees on both sides. There is lots of storage under the settees and behind the settee backs. There are two opening ports forward and four large (8"x20") fixed portlights. Ventilation is provided by a nicro day/night solar vent above the dinette table and a cowl vent on a dorade box.

The starboard aft Galley is equipped with a gimballed three burner Hillerange Princess L.P. gas stove w/oven, Raritan 6 gallon electric/engine hot water heater (98). There is an ice box aft of the stove. A teak trimmed formica self-stowing stove cover hides the stove and gains counter space. There is a single stainless steel sink with hot & cold pressure water. The countertop is White formica trimmed with gloss varnished teak. There are cabinets for dishes and food storage above the stove and ice box, and a large storage cabinet under the sink.

To port is the Navigation Station with a large athwartships chart table with a hinged top. Outboard of the chart table is the control for the LPG solenoid/alarm system (2000) and the electrical distribution panel (2001). The 10 lb propane bottle (2000) is located in the port lazarette in a vented Trident propane locker (99). Aft of the chart table is a quarter berth with a chart locker above it.

Navigational Electronics include:

  • Furuno 1621 MKII Radar (2000)
  • Furuno GP1600 GPS/Chart Plotter (98)
  • I-Com M45 VHF radio (2000)
  • Datamarine Corinthian depth sounder
  • Signet knot/log
  • Danforth bulkhead mounted compass

Aft Cockpit
The roomy cockpit has a 24" Destroyer-type wheel at its aft end, which controls the Edson OR-5 A-84 worm gear steering (3.5 turns lock to lock). The depth sounder and knot/log are mounted on the aft cabin bulkhead to starboard and the compass is on the port cabin bulkhead. Both the radar and GPS/Chart Plotter are on a swing bracket so they can be positioned in the companionway under the dodger, where they are easily visible from the helm. There is a large sail locker to starboard that also gives access to the aft side of the engine and the rudder and shaft stuffing boxes.

Construction
This boat has white gelcoat topsides w/blue boot top and cove stripe. The deck is white gelcoat with light blue non-skid and cabin top. The exterior Teak trim is gloss varnished.

Solid hand laid fiberglass hull, reinforced with additional laminations in all stress areas and fore/aft glassed in stringers. The balsa cored deck is set on an outward 3" flange which is protected by an aluminum cap. The lead ballast is internal to the keel cavity.
