History's Worst Pinball Machines
#1 Orbitor 1 (Stern, 1982)

Most non-conventionally designed playfield ever.
This reminds me of a "cheap-looking" rubber foam martian landscape with craters and holes.
You can not aim to make any shot (let alone hit any targets), the term here is "pure luck".
You just "beat the hell" out of the ball around the playfield.
It also has no visible ruleset, HUGE outlanes, and "spinning" pop bumpers (what?).......

Little Known Fact:
Did you know that after not long after Stern produced this game,
they opted NOT to manufacture any more pinball machines for nearly 15 years?
A coincidence?   I think not.....
Another photo of this wonderfully "contoured" playfield
What a waste of good parts....
#2 Spectrum (Bally, 1982)

Plays like "Simon" from Milton-Bradley or "Mastermind", the board game, where you try to match the sequence of lighted colors and it corresponding colored targets.

ULTRA CONFUSING
ruleset.
This game does not even have a ball shooter.
(Another reason why it failed, because players could not figure out how to start a game!)
The playfield looks nice though......
Stay tuned for more.......
