Glen Weldon Thompson (Rastus), 93, Walton, died March 23 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, where he had been a patient since March 17.
Born March 29, 1881, in Buffalo, he was the son of Benjamin and Mary (Rotruck) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was twice a widower, having been preceded in death by Susan Jane Galbreath Thompson and Mamie Jones Thompson.
A former Winamac resident, Mr. Thompson spent most of his life in Pulaski County. He was a retired blacksmith.
Surviving are four sons, Orval, Winamac R.R.1, Virgil, Logansport R.R.3, Francis, Winamac, and Lester, Winamac R.R.3: three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Green, Star City, Mrs. Dianna Lucille Dye, Deedsville, and Mrs. Gertrude Birnell, Walton; a brother, Roy, St. Louis, Mo., one sister, Gertie Wilt, Springfield, Ohio; 27 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fry and Lange Mortuary with the Rev. Joseph Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Winamac Cemetery.
