It is the time to prepare for Christmas and the arrival of Jesus.
Advent begins 4 Sundays before Christmas Eve. The liturgic color is Violet.
You can find the Advent Candelabre in many homes during this time.
On each of the Sundays before Christmas a candle is lit from the candelebra.
