This site was created to help those who have lost someone by a drunk driver. To find maybe the support they need to deal with their loss of losing someone. There are organizations that are out there trying to stop one more person from being a statistic.
I know all to well the pain of dealing with a drunk driver. My own mother was killed by a drunk driver that was driving on suspended license. My mother was only 42 years old at the time. I will never forget the pain that the family had to go through. The shock that stayed with us for so long. I lived in my own hell for awhile, I was 7 months pregnant with my fourth child when she was killed. Through the other births she was there with me through all the doctors appointment and was in the delivery room for all of them. I just felt lost and needed her so much at this time. My anger only grew at this man who took her away from us all. No justice was serve neither for the crime he committed! As in so many other cases, drunk drivers are free to go back out on the road to hurt or kill someone else. Just last year my neighbor was on her way to work at 4am and a drunk driver hit her. She was laid up for months with both her legs and one arm messed up. She has plates in the arm that was crushed and plates in her leg. She went through therapy for over a year to get the use back in her arm which is now permanently disabled. She suffered RSD caused by the trauma of the accident. She was still in the court process when the man that hit her was put in jail for another reason. While he was in jail, he took his own life. That didn't bring any comfort to the family, because after her accident she is no longer the same woman she was before. He took so much away from her and her family. She can no longer go play catch with her son, ride the rides at the local amusement park, cleaning house is a task that becomes a challenge that most people don't have to face.
In 2002, 17,419 people were killed in crashes involving alcohol, representing 41 percent of the 42,815 people killed in all traffic crashes, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I used Roses as the theme for this page because my Mother loved roses. The midi playing is "Free Bird" because it was one of her favorite songs. She was such a carefree person, who only wanted to live life to the fullest. Sometimes more on the wild side some would say. The thing that was for sure, is everyone loved her and enjoyed being around her. She loved the beach or just lounging around with friends. She was not only my mother but one of my best friends.
This site will be a lot smaller than the other ones I have done but as time goes on I will add things to it. If you would like to add a site here please send me an email.
