JUST KIDDING FOLKS - Some thoughts after we watched the drama

When we recieved the videos I was hesitant to watch them. I think it had something to do with some false conclusions about the miniseries we had formed. So I'll list my false conclusions before I say anything else.

04 That Stephen Tompkinson played some sort of JEKYLL/HYDE character
03 That it was primarily a horror film

OKTOBER is a 3-part ITV drama that blows away 100% of all the work that Stephen did in Ballykissangel. (And we thought he was wonderfull in that!!!!) This is just the type of role to show that he isnt Peter Clifford. Here he shows a wide range of emotions.

He is the primary character in the miniseries!

The drama opens with Stephen again as a fish out of water character. (Only in that way is this reminiscent of Ballykissangel.) He plays a teacher for some rich kids, one of the students has a sister he is interested in that works at a local drug manufactorer.
I'll say nothing more on the drama other than I hope people in the USA will write their local PBS station so they will get a chance to watch the fine series.

I doubt BBCAMERICA will ever show the series as they did not produce the drama.
