bIOGRAPHY
Born on December 13, 1948, Ted Nugent is one of the renowned American guitarist from Detroit. He started his musical journey as a member of the Amboy Dukes, but later grew to be an independent wannabe. ''Ted Nugent'' was his first solo release with the album hitting the heavy metal charts almost instantly. Since then, he has been crowned as one of the world’s leading guitar showmen, having sold over 30 million albums.
Ted Nugent, apart from being a musical maestro, is also an eminent media personality. He began hosting a radio show in Detroit and later created and hosted an outdoors television show, ''Spirit of the Wild'', that is currently broadcast on The Outdoor Channel. Ted Nugent is an award-winning writer for over 40 publications, and author of the New York Times best-seller God, Guns, and Rock 'N' Roll, and the newly released Kill It and Grill It. His writings are regular columns in , Razor, Deer & Deer Hunting, Midwest Outdoors, Insights, Jackson Citizen Patriot, Stuff magazine and his own Ted Nugent Adventure Outdoors. Ted Nugent has recently been reelected to his third term on the NRA's Board of Directors.
Nuge, as he is often called is known for his zealous hunting. He started hunting
in 1953, even before he started with his music, and he even owns several
hunting-related businesses.
Nugent
is known for his extravagant energy and his contagious zeal. Indeed, he is
rightly nicknamed "Terrible Ted," "The Nuge," "The Whackmaster" and "Motor City
Madman."
