| The loss of a child is surely the most painful hurt of all, because the love between parent and child, is the most precious love of all. It is impossible to understand why this beautiful special person has been taken away from us so soon. There is no justice in it. There is no reasoning to explain it. There is no fast way to mend the hurt. |
| A Special Angel There's a special angel in Heaven, That is a part of me. It is not where I wanted her, But where God wanted her to be. She was here just a moment, Like a night time shooting star. And though she is in Heaven She isn't very far. She touched the hearts of many, Like only an angel can do. I would've held her every minute, If the end I only knew. | This is my daughter Lena, my only child. Lena was taken away from us on August 1, 1999, 2 months before her 21st birthday. Lena was a very loving and caring person. She loved dolphins, line dancing, kids and she was a very talented artist. Lena's dreams were to get married when she was 23 and have her 1st baby when she was 25. Lena's dreams are now gone, also my dreams and memories of watching my daughter get married and starting her own family. I will never know the joys of being a Grandmother. Like most mother's and daughter's we would have our fights, but we never left the house or hung up the phone without saying "I Love You", I still tell her everyday, I just don't hear "I Love You Mom" anymore.. |
| On August 1, 1999, Lena was a passenager in a car, which the driver & another driver decided to play a game of ROAD RAGE. This went on for over 30 miles. The 2 drivers didn't care about the safety of their passenagers. And the car Lena was in, the driver had her 4yr old daughter in the car, but not in a car seat or buckled in. Now because of 2 peoples senseless act, an innocent life was taken. They took my baby away from me, I want them to tell me why and explain why they took Lena's future away from her. |

| Her Journey's Just Begun Don't think of her as gone away, her journey's just begun life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much. |

| Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting The 1st Sunday In December |
| Candles will be lit at 7:00 pm in every time zone and burn for 1 hour in memory of all children who have died, producing a wave of light that will encircle the earth. As candles burn down in one time zone, it becomes 7:00 pm in another, creating a 24 hour memorial. Please light a candle at 7:00 pm on the 1st Sunday in December in memory of all children who have died. |
