Rinpoche after the
blessing ceremony starts to bath the Buddha by pouring frangance water.
The meaning of this ritual is to cleanse oneself of negative defilements
and karmas. In the course of bathing the Buddha, one aspires and visualizes
that all negative deeds accumulated since beginningless time is wash away
by the power of blessing from the Buddha himself. |

Karma Lobsang and Karma
Tengye Bath the Buddha before the rest of the 150 devotees' turn to perform
the ritual.

There is no age barrier
in this ceremony, the young and old all join in and no one want to miss
this chance held only once a year. The Bathing of Buddha itself takes almost
about 2 hours to finish as devotees comes in a continous stream. |

After that the Bathing
the Buddha is done the devotees proceed to the throne of Thrangu Rinpoche
to receive his personal blessings and Lama Lodrö gave everyone a yellow
string to be worn around the neck throughout the year until replacement
comes in the next Wesak Day one year later. |
