The Army of Light at the last Battle of Ruusan
UPDATE -- 12/13/00!!
DHC's editor Dave Land has given us a little bit more about JvS. Not much, but enough to tide us over for a little bit at least:
"I'm not sure if all 7 [Battles of Ruusan] will be in there but we will follow events over a period of about 6 months or so and we'll see at least a couple of the battles." Very good! At this point I'm taking it for granted that we'll see the final "thought bomb" battle, but now we know we'll be seeing some real lightsaber swinging...YIPPEE!
Will we see
Katarn again? Chances are, not any time soon. But there is a very
good chance that we will see some more of the Kyle's alter-ego
from ages past, Tal. In case you don't know, Tal was one of the
Jedi from Lord Hoth's Army of Light a millenia before Kyle's time
-- the same Army of Light that hunted and destroyed the Sith
armies, culminating in a final series of battles on the planet
Ruusan.
Recently, Dark Horse Comics editor Dave Land reported that
"we do have a series coming up titled "Jedi vs.
Sith" coming up in April. It's a six issue series that takes
place around the time of the Battle of Ruusan." When
questioned as to whether or not the Jedi vs. Sith series would be
considered part of the Dark Forces series, he replied that the
two series would be "somewhat related." Pshaw! DHC will
probably make Darth Bane the star of this series and throw the
whole conflict on its side, but at least it's something.
