Wednesday Night Chaos

Live from the Georgia Dome

December 5, 2001

Brian Rentfro: Welcome everyone to Wednesday Chaos!!

Jon McDaniel: We have five exciting big matches tonight, Thunderwolf defends the Intercontinental Championship in the main event against Jay...

Brian Rentfro: We'll see Raizzor take on the SWA's XTC as well

Jon McDaniel: Also, we'll see...

['Never Surrender' hits and the fans explode as Chamelion walks onto the stage, the PWA World title wrapped firmly around his waist. He walks down to the ring, slapping hands with the fans on each side and then slides into the ring.]

Jon McDaniel: Chamelion seems to be back, with yet another unscheduled appearance.

Brian Rentfro: This guy sure likes the spotlight.

Jon McDaniel: Or maybe others were just afraid to use it.

[Chamelion jumps onto the far turnbuckle and raises the title high, and the fans just eat it up.. Chamelion motions for the mic from the ring announcer and waits till the fans settle.]

Chamelion: Just before I came out here, I spent a few minutes cutting a nice little promo for Quickymart...telling him how this Saturday, he'll get a taste of a world title match.. before I send him running back to his little SWA camp with his tail between his legs!

[The fans scream their cheers and support. Chamelion again has to wait for them to calm down.]

Chamelion: Come on, I mean, who wants to see Quicksilver vs. Sirus? Or Quicksilver vs Marcus Collins??

[Fans Boo]

Chamelion:
We want action, excitement.. a sense of wonderment.. Can Chamelion finally defeat two of the greatest PWA stars today? Two men who hold undefeated streaks over me in one on one matches?? Here I am the PWA world Heavyweight champion... and I can't say I'm better then the two men I will have to face at Ground Zero.

[Fans boo some more in Chamelion's support.]

Chamelion: That actually hurts, you know. Because what it's saying, is that I am just the man holding onto the title, till I can give it away to one, hell, maybe BOTH of them? That just isn't right!

[Intense booing.]

Chamelion: So, know what I've got to do? I've got to work hard, train deeply and keep the rust off these bones until Ground Zero... Quickymart's gonna be a good trial on Saturday... that much I will give him... But AGAIN, the bookers seem to think they need to protect me.. for here it is, another PWA show.. and where's your PWA Champion?? Told to sit home and twiddle his thumbs.. AGAIN!!

[The Crowd is really into their booing, disliking the fact Chamelion isn't booked to wrestle.]

Chamelion: Let's look at your main event for the night? Thunderwolf and JAY?? Come ON! So, your PWA Champion is going to take things into his own matter, and make a new main event for the night.. and it's going to be a WORLD TITLE MATCH!!!

[The Crowd explodes, excited at the addition to the card.]

Chamelion: I knew you'd like that! But I want a challenger, ANY PWA/SWA superstar who wants a shot tonight.. .NO, NO jobbers.. no snows or tigres... Someone with clout.. Someone who's held a title or two before.. Someone to give me a run for my money!! I Want action... and dammit, I want someone who can actually wrestle!! So, if anyone back there wants their shot.. GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND ACCEPT IT!!

[The crowd buzzes in anticipation and Chamelion paces the ring...}

Chamelion: I ain't going anywhere until someone comes out and challenges me!!

["More Human then Human" hits the arena and the fans jump to their feet, screaming and cheering as Grifter walks out onto the stage. Chamelion's eyes go wide for a moment, and then a smile breaks across his face.]

Chamelion: Grifter?? You want a shot tonight, pal?

[Grifter merely nods, a slight smile on his face as well.]

Chamelion: Well then, old friend, congratulations, because your now booked against the PWA World Champion.. TONIGHT!! I'll see you in a couple of hours!!

[Grifter nods and gives the thumb up and walks away.]

Chamelion: Now THIS is going to be a match... take a good look, Quirky.. scout this match like all the others, and maybe, just maybe.. you'll get a glimpse of your own future... just don't be too surprised at what you end up seeing!

['Never Surrender' starts up as Chamelion tosses the mic back to the announcer and steps out of the ring, and begins walking back up the ramp.]

Jon McDaniel: A world title match? tonight!!

Brian Rentfro: Chamelion's got a lot of confidence... but now he's going up against Grifter... a former tag team and television champion.. he could have bitten off more then he can chew.

Jon McDaniel: We'll just have to see... we're ready now for our first match, so let's go to our ring announcer.

Grifter vs. Chamelion (World Title Match)

Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the PWA Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, one half of the Brothers Grimm... GRIFTER!!

['More Human Then Human' plays and Grifter comes out, and heads down to the ring, the crowd cheering him all the way.]

Ring Announcer: And his opponent, weighing in at 245lbs, he is the PWA World Heavyweight Champion... CHAMELION!!

['Never Surrender' hits the airwaves and the crowd pops louder then ever as Chamelion comes onto the stage, the World title on his shoulder as he walks confidently down to the ring. He climbs the stairs and hands the world title to the ref before stepping between the ropes. Chamelion walks to the center of the ring where Grifter is and both men stare each other down.]

Jon McDaniel: The Grimms and Dragons have a rough history when they contended for the Tag Team titles.... now, it's for the World title.. one of these men could break down and go berserk.

Brian Rentfro: My money would be on Chamelion every time, to go berserk, I think he's just about there as it is.

[Foreheads touching, the two men stare at each other... Chamelion is saying something, and of course, Grifter says nothing. Grifter backs up a step and offers his hand to Chamelion. Chamelion quirks his head, and looks left to the cheering fans, then to the right. He smiles, nods his head and shakes hands with Grifter. Then they back off and begin circling each other.]

Jon McDaniel: Say what you want, there's a lot of respect between those two men.

Brian Rentfro: Yeah yeah, no cheap shots then, you mean.

Jon McDaniel: Your impossible, Brian.

Brian Rentfro: Thanks.

Grifter goes for a figure four, but Chamelion kicks him backwards. Grifter comes back and Chamelion catches him with a drop toe hold. Chamelion wraps his arms around Grifter's head, trying to cut off the air in a classic sleeper hold. Grifter pushes himself to his feet and Chamelion jumps on his back. He applies more pressure to Grifter, who drops backwards, crushing Chamelion under him. Grifter rolls off, rubbing his throat before getting up. Chamelion tries to get up, and Grifter hits him with a scissors kick. Grifter then pulls up the wobbly Chamelion, pulls him forward and power bombs the World Champion to the canvas.]

Jon McDaniel: Grifter's holding nothing back here!

[Grifter grabs Chamelion's legs, then flips over into a pinning combination....1.....2...kick out! Chamelion pushes Grifter off and climbs sorely to his feet. Grifter is back up already and grabs Chamelion, whipping him to the ropes. Chamelion reverses the move and sends Grifter in and catches him with a huge drop kick. Chamelion wastes no time, picks up Grifter by the hair and DDT's him back down. Chamelion smirks, gives the signal and goes for the People's Splash!]

Brian Rentfro:
It's the end now, for ol Grifter.

[Chamelion hits the ropes and pushes off into a back flip, but Grifter rolls away and Chamelion hits the canvas hard. Grifter stumbles to his feet and sees Chamelion laying there on his back, nearly out. Grifter climbs to the top and raises his arms.]

Jon McDaniel: Oh man, here it comes!!!

[Grifter flies with the Buzz Bomb!! Chamelion rolls just in the nick of time and Grifter hits the canvas hard.]

Brian Rentfro: He missed!!! Grifter missed a sure win!!

[Chamelion crawls to his feet, shaking the cobwebs from his head, and as Grifter rights himself, Chamelion spins him around, catches him and hits the Rupture!! He covers quickly...1....2....3!!!]

Jon McDaniel: Chamelion with another successful defense of the world title.

Ring Announcer: The winner, and still PWA Champion... CHAMELION!!!

[Chamelion collects his title from the referee and helps Grifter to his feet... he pats Grifter on the back and offers his hand. Both men shake hands and the crowd erupts in cheers. Grifter raises Chamelion's hand and it only causes the fans to get louder.]

Jon McDaniel: Now that's sportsmanship!

Brian Rentfro: Bleah! Well, at least it's over...
