The Heads

No Talking, Just Head is the 1996 album by the group The Heads. On this album David Byrne is replaced by various guest singers. Here is a list of my fave tracks:
  1. Damage I Have Done with Johnette Napolitano This track is powerful and dark. If your a fan of punk you'll love it, if your not,it'll probably scare you. It starts out with a few seconds of breathing noises. Johnette starts off singing kind of quiet, then she starts some hard screaming on the chorus:"How can I undo the damage I have done?!!"
  2. The King Is Gone featuring Micheal Hutchence {We Miss You!} As always, the late Micheal hutchence's deep, unique voice adds a creative and mysterious touch to this song. It's mainly a slow song, but not exactly a ballad.
  3. Never Mind with Richard Hell This song is one of the funniest songs I've Heard. Rick's voice is interesting and he uses it to the fullest. You've really got to listen to the words! "you got me hooked" "but the hooks are liquid, I can slip them they're goo" I don't know about you, but goo is a rib-tickling word to me!
  4. Punk Lolita with Debbie Harry,Johnette Napolitano, & Tina Weymouth (wow!) I've saved the best for last. Of course it's the best, Debbie's on it! And who better to sing lead on a CBGB,quirky punk-girl anthem? Dedicated to ladies like Debbie herself, this song is cute, funky and freaky! "You don't care that I'm just a punk girl doin' it funky"!
This cd's great, these are just a few of the good ones. Try it!
