The CD of the Month

My Recomended album of the month

This is a brand new page I have added to my site. It's where i put an album i really like and my review of it. Then if you think you'll like it, you can go out and buy it , or check it out from your library.(please note that the album will not always be recent, i'm a BIG 80's fan ) My Recomended cd for May is: Tubthumping by Chumbawamba

This is definately not their fisrt, and I can't say if it's their best (I've never heard their other albums), But Tubthumping is still one damn good album! Chuck full of trip-hop/Techno beats it makes your mind whirl and your feet dance. Here are just a few of my fave tracks:
  1. Amnesia The second single off Tubthumping, This is definately one of their best! From the catchy chorus ("Do you suffer from long term memory loss? I don't remember.") to the musical break where they go into this slower latin kinda music and you hear the word "amnesia" being whispered, this tune will keep you boppin'!
  2. I Want More On this tune you experience some of Chumbawamba,s biting wit. Get a load of this line and you'll see what I mean:"This is tea-room England, they'll kick your face in so politely, this is tea-room England, they'll kick your face in oh so nicely". Nasty foul-mood fun aye? And of course, like most Chumbawamba songs there's a catchy line!:"I Want More!(So Sorry)I Want More!(no Hurry)I Want more....".
  3. Creepy Crawling This track contains some interesting lyrics that are almost rapped! I love when English guys rap...oops! i'm getting off subject! Anyway this is a great track!
    and lastly
  4. The Good Ship Lifestyle

This, without a doubt the best song on the whole album! The lyrics are great, the tune is catchy, it just really gets you going! And some how it has an 80's touch to it!( I love the 80's)And once again a catchy chorus:"So sail a course, a course for Nowhere, and drop the anchor, my little empire (wot a coinky-dinc!), I'm Going nowhere(this is the good ship life style)I'm going nowhere (this is the good ship life style) ect....
This is definately one the best albums of this past year, and i recomend you try it! Only one warning: Between each song there are these annoying little interludes, they aren't numbered seperately either. You just have to skip to the next song when it comes to that part!
