The CD of the Month
My Recomended album of the month
This was the last of my 'Cd of the Months':
Look Sharp! by Roxette
Look Sharp! was Roxette's first album in the states. Here are a few of my fave songs from the Swedish King and Queen of pop.
Listen To Your Heart
Now, I know you've all heard this one before, but it really is one of my fave song's of all time, so i have to write about it. It's the last song on the album and a perfect grand finale! this song is just so powerful! And kinda sad. "Listen to your heart, before you tell him good bye"Chances
This song is great. And it's got those ever popular scandinavian phrases in it. You know like "Take a chance on me" (ABBA) and "Take On Me" (A-Ha). How could you not love it? Actually Roxette have always stood out as being one of the few scandinavian acts to NOT begin with the letter A!.Dance Away
Speaking of Scandinavian bands that begin with the letter A, this song really sounds like it could be an Ace Of Base song. that doesn't mean i want them to go and do a version of it, They have a knack for killing good 80's songs, i'm just saying it sounds kinda like the stuff on their first album.I Could never Give You Up
Ok. This one's on the Cd but not on the tape , which sucks cos i have the tape and i only heard this song like once or twice, and it's lost to me forever!! No fair!!! It's really great, I like the songs where Per sings(of course i like Marie too) "I could never give you up, the way you make my true love shine" If anybody has this song and is willing to record it and mail it to me, email me at t4fs@hotmail.com
Paint
As usual, I have saved the best for last. This song is short and snappy, witha catchy chorus. Per sings lead :) and it really gets in your head!!
"I got a hot chilly feeling, i don't understand, i've got to run thru this minute like a hurricane"
Hey, now this WHOLE ALBUM is great, and if you find that you like this one, you should try "Joyride" too!
Hey wanna take a tour? Take The Empire Building Tour
Go back to the entrance back to the guide my Wonderful gallery!a feast for the eyes!
Have Fun! And remember "Paint me right, can you feel the heat in me tonight? I'm a pearl, paint your love all over my world"-
