Laboratory Office and Management:

The laboratory office coordinates all the activities that keep the laboratory operation running smoothly and efficiently.

Betsy West, MS, Administrative Director of Laboratory:

Betsy has been employed by Clinch Valley Medical Center for 14 years as Administrative Laboratory Director.  She was graduated from University of Charleston with a Master of Science Degree.  She has two sons and is actively involved with two grandsons.  She is active in her church, SVCC phlebotomy program, and grandsons sports activities.

She is involved with the day to day laboratory processes, finances, and goals of the laboratory.

Dennis Sargent, MT,  BA,  Laboratory Supervisor:

Dennis has been employed by Clinch Valley Medical Center for 11 years.  He began in the laboratory after graduating from Virginia Intermont College with Bachelor’s in Biology.  He has been Laboratory Supervisor for 7 years.  Dennis helps with staffing and technical issues, monitoring quality, and control of inventory.
