Much of this was written several years ago and is full of silly little mistakes, especially wrongful capitalization and such. Please ignore those until I get the chance to fix them! *facepalms*

Slashy Limericks
written in a fit of silliness after "The Frogs and the Lobsters" ~ I blame His Overly Cute Lordship
There once was a girl rather bland
Who reached for Horatio's hand
But with a Captain and a Lord
And a Pal he adored
He said "Mamsel, I would rather eat sand!"
The Captain said "Mister Hornblower!
Why do you keep going lower?
Take off breeches and vest.
No, boy, I do not jest.
I meant it when I said 'slower'!"
There once was a Lord in the Army
Cute enough to make most Men go balmy
But when he saw Horatio
He said "Oh oh!
I shall be noble rather than smarmy."
When Hornblower failed his exam
His Captain said "Oh Horatio, damn!
But my hero you are,
And you will go far.
Meanwhile let me cover you with jam."
"My Lord, the French troops amass!"
"Yes I know, Horatio, alas...
You are simply too droll
With that cute parasol
And those curls you have en masse."
A lobster the Earl may be
But the prettiest one in the Sea
So Archie thought
That maybe the Lord
Would not mind sharing his settee
There was a Lieutenant named Chadd
Who wanted Horatio like mad
But Eccleston disagreed
Said "I'm the one you need.
Don't forget it - and that is that!"
Horatio once went to France
And there he was given a chance
To let passions unfurl
In the arms of the Earl
After not much more than a glance
Not finding it easy to ride
Horatio was quick to decide
That the Major's request
Was not made in jest
And agreed to let him astride
All alone at night in his camp
The Earl lit an oily lamp
And he saw very near
His Horatio so dear
And soon they both wound up damp
Mister Kennedy set a sail
But there was a very strong gale
Luckily his fall was caught
In the arms of his Lord
Who briefly went very pale
The Earl said, "Who is he?"
Pointing out the man of the sea
And the golden boy
Knowing not of this ploy
Soon became his little Archie
When Archie saw the aristocrat
He very nearly spat
But the Earl who seemed cold as a fish
Turned out to be quite a dish
And soon in his lap Archie sat
When the Earl called him to his tent
Horatio knew just what he meant
But with not much space
The Earl saw his sad face
And said "Try it with your knees bent."
Captain Pellew was a knight
As well as a handsome sight
And Horatio's heart fluttered
When he shyly muttered
"Sir, may I please spend the night?"
There once was a Captain named Foster
When asked of his ship he said "Lost 'er"
He saw Pellew's sweet lad
And said "Come to my bed"
But Pellew said "Just try that, imposter!"
From atop his hot-blooded stallion
The Earl spoke to his batallion
"Bring Horatio to me!
Yes I know, he's at Sea.
But you can always use a galleon."
Captain Pellew had himself a beauty
And while Archie was quite a cutie
And so was the Earl
With his nice golden curl
With his dear Captain lay Horatio's duty
There once was a Captain Pellew
Who wore a nice buckled shoe
And while sailing the seas
Often found on his knees
One could hear him moan "Oh Horatio, you!"
They were no longer on land
Yet the Earl was still a special friend
Cause he'd stopped being starchy
And had much impressed Archie
When asking him for his hand
The Lord of Edrington Hall
Invited Pellew's crew to a ball
And he said "What good luck!"
When the clock midnight struck
And Archie let his mask fall
Horatio wanted some loving galore
And damn the Articles of War
He called "Lay in your oars!"
When the Earl on his horse
Was spotted riding ashore
There on that wild, stormy Ocean
One can find a lot of emotion
Rank does not mean a lot
Love knows boundaries not
When it comes to a sailor's devotion
Captain Pellew said "Oh, what the heck!
I don't care about Muzillac.
I've had more than enough,
Nearly lost my sweet love.
But I have my Horatio back!"
There once was a Captain at Sea
And what a stern man was he
Until a young man
Came into his realm
And said, "I'm Horatio, love me!"
Horatio and Pellew were afloat
In the Indy's jollyboat
Set out by the Hornblower gang
Matthews, Styles, Oldroyd - his men
Who thought they needed some time remote
Archie said "Horatio, look!
That Major is making me cook."
So being a friend
Horatio sent
The Major a recipe book
With the French trip having gone sticky
Horatio was left with a hickey
And the Earl looked no better
When asked "What's the matter?"
He said "Damn, lavender is pricky!"
And back to Plymouth they went
Sailing well past that dull county Kent
For the Earl had invited
And thereby excited
Archie, who was nobility-bent
His Lordship in the red coat
Was as dainty as he was remote
But once Archie got close
He found him quite grandiose
And to Edrington Castle they rowed
"Oldroyd, you are so dumb!
Did you have to hit me on the thumb?"
Styles took away his hammer
But eventually did clamber
Into his shipmate's bum
The Major said "No, Siree!
Things did not go well in Brittany.
But my sincere compliments
On your lovely Lieutenants.
Captain, may I at least have Archie?"
The Earl of Edrington's self-esteem
Had never been terribly lean
He had a cute beauty spot
And flirted a lot
Yes, he really was quite a queen
It could easily be seen
That the frogs thought the lobsters were mean
So Horatio said "My Lord,
Let us abandon the fort
Before they take us to the guillotine!"
"Horatio, enter my tent!"
Said the Major with a slightly gay bend
He served wine and a kiss
And some Major bliss
And Horatio stayed the night in the end
Once the Major Horatio appraised
He found himself rather amazed
That the king's stiff servant
Was a lover quite fervent
And it left him especially dazed
"By god, Horatio, it's true!
I cannot stop looking at you.
You are such a delight!
Just the prettiest sight!"
Said the lovesick Captain Pellew
"Oh Archie," the Earl said. "Don't mock!
I can't sleep in that infernal hammock.
Why don't we make a bed
Up on deck instead?
I'm already as hard as a rock."
