| otown_chat: All: What's up, thanks for coming, and we're looking forward to answering a lot of questions! otter_dtx: hey jacob, how are you feeling? have you recovered from your injury? otown_chat: Jacob: I am doing a lot better, walking around pretty much fine, but can't pick up anything yet. otown_chat: I'm going to join the guys on the road and starting singing again, but I won't be able to dance for a litte while. My_Kisses: who inspires you guys to be in this industry? otown_chat: Trevor: Before we all had individual inspirations as far as music, but now, we kind of inspire each other. takemeunder2001: What is the food they hate the most in the world? otown_chat: Ashley: I hate sweet potatoes. otown_chat: Trevor hates beets, sour cream and guacamole. Erik also hates olives. otown_chat: Dan hates lima beans. otown_chat: Jacob: Peas! otown_chat: I hated when my typical mom said you can't leave the table until you eat your peas! otown_chat: Put'em all in your mouth, go to the bathroom and spit'em out! twilightdrummer3: Do you ever wish you guys were together longer before you were forced into the spotlight? Thanks! luv, Evelina! :) otown_chat: Erik: Yes....I don't think things would be the same but if we hadn't been rushed into the spotlight this week, but it's very special to be a part of something that no one has ever been a part of..... ladybuggcj: the cameras were in your face A LOT, and we saw a lot of private moments, did you have any input for the editing of the show? otown_chat: Dan: We had none at all. otown_chat: You know we knew that we were on camera all the time, so we knew that everything we did was documented, and that's the price we pay. otown_chat: We can't put everything into an episode, we realize that, and we just hope the fans realize that as well. otown_chat: Trevor: If we had editing rights, there would be no content in the story at all, just party stuff! lele2921: What is in your cd player right now? What music do you enjoy listening to otown_chat: Erik: I actually have the unreleased copy of the Dr. Doolittle 2 soundtrack. Trevor has the same... otown_chat: We happen to have a song on that songtrack called We Fit Together. otown_chat: ANd it also incorporates a bunch of other great artists, Product G & B, Luther Vandross, Deborah Cox, and great newcomers... otown_chat: Dan: I have a group called City High. otown_chat: They were on MTV today. christie_kiesh: Hey guys! Ok here's you're chance to prove who the ladies man of the group is... pick up lines... c'mon!!! otown_chat: Trevor: Pick up lines are corny! otown_chat: You just go up and try to start a normal conversation. otown_chat: Jacob: I second that. otown_chat: Ashley: I don't think any of us would use an actual pickup line unless it was a joke. otown_chat: Dan: I'd much rather have the girl come and try to pick me up. peachesandcream_6969: what advice would you give to kids who want to grow up and be a star like you? otown_chat: Jacob: Don't ever think that becoming a star is going to make you happy and fix all your problems. otown_chat: It gives you more actually. otown_chat: In some cases. ashleys_shweet_angel: What event are you looking forward to the most in the next year? otown_chat: Ashley: I'm looking forward to being out on our summer tour. otown_chat: I think for me one of my favorite things is to be out on the road. We get to perform every night, that's the greatest experience. otown_chat: I can't wait to get out on the road this summer. jessieka03: What's your favorite song to perform? otown_chat: Erik: Lately we've been getting such a great reaction from All Or Nothing, and it's been very powerful to perform. otown_chat: Jacob: Love Should Be a Crime. otown_chat: Trevor: When we're out on tour I think my favorite to perform is Girl. itzangel22: whats your new single and video going to be? otown_chat: Dan: We're still in the midst of figuring all that out. Our focus now is All Or Nothing, then we'll go from there, and see what everyone is looking for from us, and then we'll probably do the opposite. num1otownluva: would you rather eat a hamster, be naked on MTV, or be attacked by a hundred raving old girlfriends? btw, we love you, we saw you on GMA! we tried to see you, and we had VIP passes, BUT we weren't allowed in. we still love you, though!! mwah! otown_chat: Jacob: Ooo, those all suck! otown_chat: You need at least ONE good answer. otown_chat: Dan: Knowing Trevor I doubt he would have any problem going on MTV naked. otown_chat: Trevor: That's cause Dan couldn't get one girlfriend, let alone 100! na4me4e: What has been the most memorable concert you have done?? otown_chat: Trevor: I'd have to say the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, when we received our platinum album from Clive Davis, otown_chat: Clive came on stage and interrupted our show to present us with our first platinum album. otown_chat: Erik: It would have to be our first Good Morning America. That was one of the turning points where people really started recognizing us for our talent, not because we were on a television show. im_on_tha_treva_train: Hey guys! What's the weirdest/craziest/most attention getting sign a fan has ever held up at a concert? Thanx! Love, ANNA otown_chat: Trevor: There have been a lot of them....Jacob I want you to take me under your wood. otown_chat: Trevor I want 2 69 you...there are quite a few! otown_chat: Dan Do Me...It did throw me off and I did mix the next couple of dance moves. devinedb: Jacob, are you planning to do more writing? otown_chat: Dan: All of us are definitely planning on doing more writing. We came together really fast so we didn't have enough time, but now we are taking our time to make our songs have more of an impact on the next album. AFOalways: If you could be remembered for just one thing, what would you want it to be? otown_chat: Erik: I just want to leave people saying that Erik impacted my life in a positive way. otown_chat: Trevor: I just want to be remembered for my determination and drive. otown_chat: Ashley: I want to be remembered as inspirational. Yahooligan_Cassie: i heard a rumor about u and backstreetboys being friends, is that true? otown_chat: Ashley: We're not really friends, we're acquaintances with a lot of the groups. We've seen them here and there, we actually presented an award to them on stage. otown_chat: We don't go hang out or anything, we're definitely acquaintances, and have passed each other at certain award shows. k_shady_d12: What do you guys think about Napster? otown_chat: Trevor: When I was in college I was all about Napster. otown_chat: Ashley: I think if Napster could be regulated so it didn't hurt the songwriter, then it would be a great thing. otown_chat: The only bad thing about Napster the way it was takes away from the art of the songwriter. And that's how they make their living. cali_girl200120012002: Are you guys going to watch yourself on TV tonight??!!! otown_chat: Dan: Of course, unfortunately we are going to be performing at 8 PM. Hopefully we'll catch the second half hour of us. otown_chat: We make sure we catch every episode, we want to know how much idiots we look like, or if we are going to look like idiots. ninergrl6: How do you feel about ABC pulling Making the Band from the schedule during May sweeps? otown_chat: Erik: It's disappointing, very... otown_chat: It was really an ego hurt, we put a lot of time and effort into the show, to have them pull it at such a time when we could prove ourselves, was disappointing. otown_chat: At the same time, we're not television stars, we're musicians, and if that's how the television show is going to go, we're still going to be Otown. ashleyangellover: I'm listening to Sensitive. Whos the most sensitive in the group? otown_chat: Trevor! angel_kisses6910: Ashley....how has being a star affected your life?? otown_chat: Ashley: In so many ways it would be hard to say, but one of the main changes now that we get recognized a lot is the fact we can go anywhere in the world, places we've never been, and people know all about us, otown_chat: from Making the band, or they know the music. And that's a weird thing to go someplace you've never been and have people know who you are. mcdonalds_girly: What animal would best describe you and why? otown_chat: Erik: I think I'd definitely be a dolphin. otown_chat: Trevor: I think I'd be a little cub. otown_chat: Cause like they said I'm all sensitive and cuddly. otown_chat: Ashley: I'd be some kind of bird, I'm not sure what kind, any kind other than a penguin and a woodpecker. otown_chat: Trevor: I'm going to give Jacob an animal, he would be a tiger, something that is very self involved, and could live on it's own and fend for itself. otown_chat: Dan: I'm going to get kind of deep, I'm kind of like a peacock, in the beginning I'm not much to look at, but once I open up... af_bballgirly: Sixers or Lakers? otown_chat: Erik: Sixers all the way! This is Trevor. otown_chat: Trevor: That was not Trevor...I'm all about the Lakers. otown_chat: Dan: Everybody in the group besides Trevor is rooting for the Sixers just to see how Trevor will react. otown_chat: Ashley: Ever since Dan found out he could do a great impression of Dukembe Mutumbo I've fallen in love with the Sixers. otown_chat: Jacob: Lakers. independentwomanforever: Who spends the most time looking at their self in the mirror? otown_chat: Trevor: We all do. otown_chat: None of us can walk by a mirror without looking at it! lilstarstruck: Do your songs have any special meanings to you? otown_chat: Ashley: Each one of our songs has a special story behind it and a meaning to us, and they call from someplace really important. otown_chat: Each time we start a new song we put everything we have into it, whether it's a song we're written or one we're just going into record. otown_chat: Dan: But only to a certain extent right now, on this album, a lot of the songs on this album aren't ours. otown_chat: So we have to do the songs from a totally different place than we would as a writer. otowngirlluvserik: What is the one most important thing you learned in this whole experience? otown_chat: Erik: One thing we've learned out of this experience, is that there is no limitation as to what we can accomplish, and there is not limitation to our way of thinking. otown_chat: We have all evolved since the process has begun and we continue to. And I didn't know I could do that. sleepwalkingisfun: Whats your fave holiday? otown_chat: Trevor: 4th of July. danzangel83: This question is for Dan: Have you ever felt out of place in the group - that you didn't belong as much as the other guys did, since you weren't picked the first time around? love, Natalie :) otown_chat: Dan: Actually I did to be honest. But it was a growing process and I also knew I wasn't going to fit in right away because they had bonded over a long period of tiime. otown_chat: It was just a matter of taking my time until I felt totally comfortable. otown_chat: Eri: I think I do. otown_chat: I do a lot of singing in the shower. Actually I do a lot of my songwriting in the shower. sienna_stars: What aspect do each of you bring to Otown? otown_chat: Trevor: I think I bring a certain aspect in rehearsals as to wanting to get stuff done and really pushing the guys to work and being on their A game when they come to rehearsals. otown_chat: Ashley: I feel like I bring a certain musicalilty because I play piano from a very young age and also play guitar, otown_chat: and that's come in handy not only playing some songs on our album, but also being able to write with the group and separately. otown_chat: Dan: I think maybe I bring in a certain middle ground, a voice of reason sometimes. na4me4e: How do you pick who gets to be the painter? otown_chat: Trevor: We actually do pick from the ground, our manager goes out ahead of time and picks the girls. meggiepoo12: Will there be a third season of Making the Band? otown_chat: Ashley: We don't know because they have the option of seven seasons if they want. otown_chat: It just depends on how well the band does this season, otown_chat: and also depends on if ABC doesn't pick up a third season, there is a possibility MTV might. PuRe_PLaYa_3: is O-Town making another album and when is it due to come out? otown_chat: Erik: We are going to make another album, we're currently writing it now to submit material to Clive. otown_chat: But when that will happen, we have no idea, because All Or Nothing is doing so well. otown_chat: And we also did a song for the Dr. Doolittle 2 soundtrack which could be a single, so it's going to be awhile till another album. danislikewhoa: Has Ashley gotten any better with putting away Bowls? otown_chat: No! zetagirl80: What were you guys like in high school? Quiet? Jocks? otown_chat: Trevor: I was just Mr. Everything, I loved school, I was an athlete, I was in theater, I was an extra curricular man. I had hundreds of friends, high school was the greatest time of my life. otown_chat: Erik: I was a partier. I was involved in extra curricular activities but for the most part i just loved the social atmosphere of high school. otown_chat: Dan: I guess I was kind of a quiet guy, but everybody knew me, I was quiet and kind of a teacher's pet, but I was real into sports and music and stuff. canadian_starlight: Do you guys actually watch Making the Band? Why or why not? otown_chat: Ashley: We always watch it, there isn't an episode we haven't seen more than once. It's interesting for us to see how they edit it together. otown_chat: They shoot roughly 200 hours a week, and they have to turn it into a 22 minute story. otown_chat: It's interesting. kaval89: Do any of you consider yourselves Bootylicious? otown_chat: Trevor: I don't think Booty's are very tasty at all! otown_chat: Erik: I second! heavenly_angelic_04: Do any of you have tattoos? Luv, amanda&sophia otown_chat: Jacob has one on his lower back, that's it. nnmmgg: Is the fame everything you expected, from Elizabeth in Toronto otown_chat: Erik: Fame is a lot more than people expect it to be, especially in our business, it's a lot of work. otown_chat: It's great that people listen to your music, but there are a lot of other problems and stresses that you would never think of, and it does have a negative effect on you sometimes. otown_chat: Ashley: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. otown_chat: Trevor: Rump Shaker by Wrecks and Effects. otown_chat: Dan: It Takes Two, Rob Base. otown_chat: Erik: Anything by Notorious B.I.G. ninergrl6: What is your favorite song to perform? otown_chat: Dan: All Or Nothing. otown_chat: Trevor: Girl. otown_chat: Ashley: Probably All or Nothing, too. otown_chat: Jacob: Love Should Be a Crime. beaniegirl7787: How was it like when you received your gold and platinum awards 2 days in a row when you were in Toronto?? otown_chat: It was actually captured by the cameras, and it will be cool for the fans to see one of our dreams come true, it happened in Canada first, and then in New York. liesel71: do you prefer playing to a teenage crowd, or to an older crowd...like in their 20's ? otown_chat: Trevor: It doesn't really matter, we just like performing in general to any crowd. A young crowd has a certain energy, an older crowd has a different one, a crowd full of dudes has another one. We just love performing. baby_bloo_underwood: Whay do u guys think of photo shoots and promotional stuff like dat?~JUlia!ps luv yall! otown_chat: Jacob: We understand it is a big part of the industry now to always do press, so it's a major part of what we do, but it's not as fun as getting on stage. It's just part of our work. snowboarderchica15: Have you guys ever tried snowboarding before? otown_chat: Ashley: Oh, yeah, and Jacob did too. otown_chat: We're trying to get a snowboarding retreat in the mountains somewhere so we can just get our minds straight, next time we have some free time. autie05: Happy Early Birthday ASHLEY!!!! are you excited to be finally turning twenty?! otown_chat: Ashley: Thank you very much! otown_chat: And I am very excited to be turning 20, I can't believe this last year passed so quickly.
