Wind of her Sighs

She stood alone in the darkness of night
A shadow on shadows in the moonlight
Wind of her sighs moved only the trees
Soft light from the window played her tears

It flickered harshly on her saddened face
As you gazed from inside into her eyes
Blindly seeing but you knew her thoughts
Glass cutting sharp through her forlorn pleas

Your reflection mirrored next to hers
It was all she could have, all that you'd give
Ghostly soul, your heart you kept closed
Acknowledged her love, packed it away

Alone she stood in the dark of her night
Unable to reach through the thickness of pane
Unable to break through your deep resolve
Wind of her sighs only heard by the trees
