were born in London, in 1994, for an independet label, Acid Jazz, simply revolutioning, the english music trends of those times. A cool, unique, sound, made out of funky, soul, jazz, fusion,that immediately breaks out as a great success, with the first release of the band, Emergency on planet earth, 1993,targeted by Sony. Since that,JAMIROQUAI quickly reach the popularity throughout the globe, conquering all the most important music charts with the second album,The return of the space cowboy,1994. The last release,Travelling without moving,1996,winner of four MTV music awards, definitely consecrated JAMIROQUAI as one of the leading band of the 90ies, certainly the most original, maybe the one who'll give her name to the sound of these years. Ah, I was forgetting that....where does their name come from?....well from JAM + Iroquai (on of the native american tribes of North America)
