HOT NEW AOR REVIEWS

UPDATED 4TH OF MARCH 2000

MARC BRYANT 'Promo' (PROMO)

This 3-track CDR is actually very sensational. MARC BRYANT is playing pure AOR/Melodic Rock in the style of VELOCITY, DAVID VICTOR, LOUD'N'CLEAR, VON GROOVE… He sent me a promo CDR which consisted of 3 songs. This CDR is a sneak preview of his upcoming debut CD 'Overrated demo' and actually I am really looking forward to that full-length CD release, because the 3 songs of this advanced CDR sound very impressive. The sound and production by Marc Bryant and John McLane is very good.

The first song is "Road", a pretty good melodic rocker with a very melodic chorus, kinda like VELOCITY. Next track "Farewells" is a very good semi AOR ballad that reminds me of the old CROWN OF THORNS, DAVID VICTOR, LOUD'N'CLEAR. This song also features a wonderful bridge after the second chorus in the middle of the song. Closing track "Won't play the fool" is a very good uptempo AOR/Melodic Rocker that has great harmonyvocals. This final track sounds like a mix between TOWER CITY, first DANGER DANGER and LOUD'N'CLEAR.

This Promo is very promising for the future and I am really looking forward to hear his upcoming CD. Marc is also in a band called STRANGEWORLD and that band is also playing very good melodic rock. If they get back together again in the near future, they will also release a CD. For now, more info on Marc can be found at his website: http://www.marc-bryant.com/welcome.htm and e-mail him at: singerguy1@yahoo.com

NEXT PAGE 'Porkchop palace' (INDEPENDENT)

Another band who are playing early 80s typed AOR/Radiorock. Actually this band is hard to compare, but a lot of times it is pure early 80s AOR/Radiorock. I hear similarities to EDDIE MONEY, RICK SPRINGFIELD (early 80s RCA records), EDDIE SCHWARTZ… but also some pure AOR/Radiorock a la PREVIEW can be heard on the band's debut CD 'Porkchop palace'. NEXTPAGE comes out of Midwestern USA and consist of Johnny Omps (guitars, bass, keys, vocals) and Mike Lindstrom (drums).

Johnny has been playing in bands from Wisconsin to Arizona from 1977-1987. After this period he started his own band which resulted in this project he formed with Mike. Johnny has recorded a lot in the future, especially during the early 80s and maybe therefore NEXTPAGE also captures that great early 80s AOR/Rocksound. There are 12 songs on the CD and it all starts with "Reachin out", a very good 80s typed semi melodic rocker. Next track "On me" is a bit more 90s typed rock and also following track "Half a world away" is nothing that special.

But then we get to hear a wonderful song called "Let me come over", this song is awesome early 80s AOR/Radiorock that can be compared to EDDIE SCHWARTZ, EDDIE MONEY, HANK AND THE HARDKNOCKS… Just listen to the great vocals, guitars and lyrics of this song, totally 80s! Next track "I don't want to wait" is slower tempo oriented melodic rock which somehow reminds me of PREVIEW (especially those harmonies). Following track "Over your shoulder" is a nice 80s typed melodic rocker.

The songs "Flinch" (acoustic ballad) and "Hanging on my wall" (90s influenced melodic poprock) follow and are nothing special. But the song "Part of the page" is fantastic pure 80s AOR/Radiorock and also "Write me a paragraph" is really superb pure 80s AOR.
These two last mentioned songs are the best ones on the CD and if the band would have put out a record filled with songs in this style, then I could easily say that this band was the new sensation on the AOR scene. Now they have about 4/5 wonderful pure 80s AOR songs (a la PREVIEW) and the rest is just nice poprock (a la RICK SPRINGFIELD). Check out this band at:

GLITTERBUG 'Today, tonight, tomorrow'

(EDEL UK RECORDS)

This band is very much a big surprise, because I totally got the wrong impression about their musicstyle. The band's debut-single 'Today, tonight, tomorrow', which will be released on Monday 20 March, was produced by Arthur Baker who has worked with acts like ROBBIE WILLIAMS, U2, TINA TURNER, PET SHOP BOYS, DAVID BOWIE… Not really acts to be featured on this site, but well it's only the producer.

Then I also saw the band was influenced by acts like THE WHO, ROLLING STONES…, then I really thought this was going to be a hard-to-review band, because they didn't had anything in common with Melodic rock. At least on paper, because when I listened to their two-track CD-single I couldn't believe what I heard. The title song of their debut CD-single is unexpected fantastic early 80s uptempo AOR/Melodic Poprock which features some very strong harmonyvocals. This song brings back memories to bands like PRISM, KEANE,
POWERGLIDE…

Never thought a new English band would have such a sound, but it is for real. "Today, tonight, tomorrow" really has that catchy early 80 American Melodic Poprocksound and I think I can also compare this song to the last NELSON record 'Life' which also has that catchy uptempo poprocksound. It really seems like this style is getting back, because it has that catchy direct sing-a-long approach and of course the beat is very easy to relate to.

Anyway, the second song of the CD-single is titled "Kiss it better", although in the same style as the titletrack, this song is a bit simpler uptempo poprock. Also this song is
in the early 80s style, only more reminding me of NICK GILDER, DWIGHT TWILLEY, RICK SPRINGFIELD and that type of artists. Nevertheless, this band is very interesting and do check out this CD-single when it's released on the 20th of March. In the meantime, write this band at: Edel Records, c/o Glitterbug, 12 Oval Road, London, NW1 7DH, UK and let's hope for a full-length CD in the near future, because that would be a very interesting release I think. IRON FIRE 'Thunderstorm' (NOISE RECORDS)

IRON FIRE are a bunch of guys out of Denmark who take their metal very serious and you only have to look at the art-work and lyrics of their debut CD to see what kind of music they play and where they got their influences from. IRON FIRE is playing big-time 80s Melodic Metal like a mix between RIOT, MANOWAR, IRON MAIDEN, HELLOWEEN and SAXON. So this band is interesting for the fans of Classic 80s Heavy Metal. If you like one song, you'll love them all, but it has nothing to do with Melodic Rock.

The CD features songlyrics (like "Metal victory", "Glory to the king", "Warriors of steel" and "The battle of freedom") that wouldn't be out of place on an 80s German Metal LP (ACCEPT/STEELER). My favourite part of the CD is the song "Angel of light" which slow things down and is a very nice calm melodic rockballad. Anyway, if you like above mentioned bands, you can easily buy this CD and then turn up the volume because this CD is very heavy and is pure 80s Metal. BAD OSCAR 'Defining moments' (INDEPENDENT)

I believe I heard that this band was compared to STYX, but after listening to their debut CD 'Defining moments' I haven't heard any influence of that Classic Pomprockband. BAD OSKAR has more appeal to the 90s Hardrocksound. Opener "Cracker man" is a heavy 90s groovy rocker. Happily, next track "The offer" is much better, this is a nice semi melodic rocker a la XYZ. Then another 90s typed rocker in the shape of "In the line". And actually the rest of this CD has the same variety.

This band is reminding me a lot of that DOKKEN record from a few years ago when they were trying to a create a 90s rocksound, I believe the album was called 'Dysfunctional'. Anyway, this band is playing in that style. This is heavy 90s melodic hardrock all the way and if you like the 90s oriented records from DOKKEN ('Dysfunctional') and HAREM SCAREM (their new CD), then you might be interested in checking out this band at: http://badoscar.webjump.com

JULIAN LEAL 'Julian Leal'

(INDEPENDENT DEMO TAPE)

Julian Leal comes out of Romeoville, IL,USA and his music has a very 70s retro-poprock approach. It kinda reminds me of acts like RASPBERRIES, HOOTERS, ROMANTICS, PHIL SEYMOUR… although I think Julian Leal's music is better and does actually have more AOR similarities than the just mentioned acts. Some songs on the Demo Tape he sent me remind me of the early 80s records of RICK SPRINGFIELD and also the old EDDIE MONEY comes to mind every now and then.

There are 20 songs on the Tape, which is also available on 2 separate CDs. Julian is a fine musician who can write decent material and has actually created kind of an own melodic poprocksound. If you like one song, you'll love them all. My favourites though are "You & I" and "Tonight" which are both classy early 80s melodic AOR/Poprockers a la RICK
SPRINGFIELD (circa 'Success hasn't spoiled me yet') and NELSON (circa 'Life'). I really like this style which is easy and very catchy.

Other good tracks are "Lonely one", "Edge of victory", "Virtually mine" (a la JOE ROBINSON), "Doing them wrong", "Dream girl", "Roller skates" and "No one for me" (pure early 80s westcoast AOR a la DAVID ROBERTS/JOHN O'BANION). At first sight I thought I was going to listen to a bunch of very quirky poprock oriented songs, but a lot of the tracks feature some great piano-keys which gives the melodic poprock of Julian a touch of early 80s AOR/Radiorock. If you like any of the mentioned acts, you should check out this guy at: www.mp3.com/JulianLeal

DIRTY JACK 'It's alive' (INDEPENDENT)

The CD-artwork of the CD of this American band is quite funny. Musically the band is not so funny, although their Party-Rock oriented Metal is quite close to RATT, WASP and TWISTED SISTER and those were funny bands in the 80s. Anyway, my favourite songs on the band's CD 'It's alive' are "Eye" and "Induced" which are both good melodic hardrock in the KEEL style. In these songs, the lead vocals are also better, because most of the other songs do feature some screaming vocals.

Songs like "In you", "Goodbye", "Spin cycle" and "Runner of sweat" are sounding like WASP, RATT, CRUE and TWISTED SISTER, although not such a high level as those acts. Anyway, check out this band if you like any of the mentioned acts. More info at: http://home.swbell.net/tcwyatt

VAN EE 'Powerplay' (H+H RECORDS)

Ernst van Ee is one of the most famous drummers from Holland. He started his career about twenty years ago and has played on many Rockalbums such as HIGHWAY CHILE, HELLOISE, IAN PARRY, MISHA CALVIN. TAMAS SZEKERES, VENGEANCE… Now he has finally released his first solo-CD titled ‘Powerplay’ on which he let the drums do the talking. And you can hear that Ernst is happy to play the drums, although the music is a little different than the melodic rock he used to drum on. This solo-CD is a very very very heavy 90s oriented Power Metal explosion which sounds like a cross between PANTERA and METALLICA.

The only song that falls in the melodic rock category is the beautiful semi melodic rockballad “The story never ends”. This song (as well as the other vocal tracks) is sung by Stan Verbraak who many of you might know as the lead singer of HELLOISE. I totally love the huge harmonies in this fantastic song and wouldn’t it be great if he had put more of such songs on his CD, then we could have easily welcome another great melodic rockalbum in the style of HELLOISE, 1ST AVENUE…

But unfortunately the first solo-CD of Ernst van Ee is a Power Metal album which will please fans of PANTERA, METALLICA and also people who liked the last VENGEANCE record. The drumming is wonderful and proves Ernst to be up there with the best. Notable is the song “Dance with an angel” which is a tribute to Cozy Powell. WEAPON X 'Weapon X' (INDEPENDENT)

A little while ago I reviewed a demo CDR of this American band. Now they have released the official debut CD. The CD contains 11 songs and musically it is 80s typed melodic hard rock/heavy rock a la VICTORY, DOKKEN, KEEL… The best songs are “Back in the night”, “Mother”, “Endless rain” and “The fire still burns”. The band also sent me a CDR with 3 new songs. And actually these new songs sound better than their debut CD.

“All that I say” is a nice semi melodic rockballad. “Seasons change” is a good semi melodic rocker a la 80s DOKKEN. The third track “Pay the piper” is the weakest of the 3 new cuts. This song is heavier MHR. Well, if you like any of the mentioned bands, then try out this band at: http://www.mp3.com/weaponxmusic

LUXX 'Hydrophonic' (INDEPENDENT)

LUXX is a female fronted rockband out of New York. This band is as close as you can get to 90s rock. The CD has a very cool Multimedia feature in which the band tells some background story as well as performing some of their songs live. I really enjoyed watching the videos on my PC and this was all done very professional. There are 9 songs on the CD and the first couple are pure 90s rock.

Track 4 “Don’t let me down” is the first song that is moving a little more into melodic rock. This song is a nice semi-ballad which reminds me of LITA FORD. After another step into the pure 90s rock with the song “F.F.”, there’s another melodic rock oriented song titled “Over for you”, another good semi melodic rockballad a la JAIME KYLE, LENITA ERICKSON.

The CD continues with a cover titled “All the young dudes”. On next is “Pandoras”, a 90s typed MHR song a la the third record of VIXEN. Concluded, this band is very professional in approach, but I find the music a little too much 90s oriented. If you like the big 90s guitarrocksound, then you will love LUXX. WICKED MESSENGERS

'Wicked messages volume 1/2'

(INDEPENDENT)

WICKED MESSENGERS is a Swedish band and actually they are a pure Rockband who have more in common in the ROLLING STONES than a melodic rockband. At times, the band sounds like a melodic rockband, but the lead vocals are very very raw and sometimes even remind me of JOE COCKER (!). I have nothing against this type of rock, but it’s a little different than the things we normally discuss over here. Nevertheless, I have been listening to the band, especially since they sent me a double-CD which contained about 23 songs in total.

Although the music sounds very ‘rock’n’roll’ oriented, there are still a couple of songs that can be seen as melodic rockers. These are also my favourite tracks and among them are the tracks “Johny’s dilemma” (nice midtempo melodic poprock a la TOM KIMMEL, JOHN KILZER), “Fool’s lament” (best song, good midtempo melodic rocker), “Breakin’’ away” (slowtempo melodic rocker with a good chorus, kinda like TIM KARR, BON JOVI) and the uptempo 70s typed melodic rocker “Rebel attitude” (a la TROOPER).

If you’re interested in hearing raw rock with raw vocals and a touch of southern rock, kinda like a mix between STONES, THE OUTLAWS, then you should go for this WICKED MESSENGERS. I really can’t recommend this band to melodic rockfans, because the music is way too raw for that. Check out their site at: http://www.mp3.com/wickedmessengers

STILL HUMAN 'Revelation' (INDEPENDENT)

Out of San Diego comes STILL HUMAN, a band that is formed around guitarist Kelly J. Randall who has been in bands and projects for the past twenty years. The Christian Rockband STILL HUMAN has also been on the scene for quite some time and this is their 7th release I believe. The band is playing a bit 90s oriented melodic hardrock which has some GUARDIAN similarities, but overall I find this band a bit too groovy every now and then.

I never heard their earlier records, but this CD is showing the band’s diversity in rockstyles. Take a bit of 60s HENDRIX, 70s LED ZEPPELIN for the grooves and then add
the melodies of 80s bands like GUARDIAN, mix them all together in a 90s updated sound and there you have it: STILL HUMAN! My favourite songs are definitely the melodic rock oriented ones such as “Leap of faith”, “Cult” and “God has to be” that all remind me of late GUARDIAN. Though the rest of the CD is obviously very groovy and are akin more to
HENDRIX than GUARDIAN.

The closing 3 songs are a bit silly I guess. “Still human” for example is horrible rap which doesn’t belong on a rock CD. And “Revelation” is pop like JOHN LENNON did back in the 70s. Final track as well as the opening tune are instrumental songs. If you like to hear a very experimental band, then you should try this STILL HUMAN at: http://www.mp3.com/stillhuman

NIGHTWING 'Thunderzone'

(NIGHTSTAR INTERNATIONAL)

This band are from Miami Flordia and play hard rock in the style of DOKKEN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TAKARA and HELLOWEEN but not as powerful. Nightwing are led by female singer Dee DeBartoli and Paul McCarrol who handles all the other instruments. "Thunderzone" was engineerd by Keith Rose who funnily enough engineered YNGWIE's "Fire & Ice" album, so you can probably guess how the album sounds, it's not too bad and it's good to hear a female playing this kinda rock.

She's adds a bit of purity into the music and sounds like a heavy metal version of BLONDIE and ANNIE LENNOX with a mix of LEE AARON. Tracks like "Wild's Child", "Up Against The Wall" and "Money Turning" are nice to hear and sound of a band treading waters and trying to find their feet. I would very much like to hear more from Nightwing as they are promising band to watch out for, "Thunderzone" is pure no nonsense hard sometimes neo-classical rock in the eighties tradition of the afforementioned bands, and not a single ballad in sight!!! Nice one! E-mail: nightstr@bellsouth.net and website: http://www.nightwingrocks.com

CROWN OF THORNS 'Destiny unknown'

(POINT MUSIC)

Unfortunately for Jean Beavoir and co, their brand new album "Destiny Unknown", fails to live up to expectations. After a breif silly intro the band launch into "Bird On A Wire", sure it has all the elements of previos COT albums, it's just that the song lacks any bite that the previous albums gave. Now "The Lost Cathedral" was a great classy album that worked on every level, with this record it sounds as if the band have tried to rewrite "The Lost Cathedral", I mean check out Tommy Laffertys mid section solo, it's sound so obviously put together, and even rips off VINNY BURNS of all people.

And then they blow it all on the next song "End Of The Century", which opens up with some drum n' bass beats, yuk, the song then get in to itslef and whilst the chorus sounds ok, the song is basically about Crown Of Thorns trying to experiment and update their music, which unforutunatley for them is not what the fans are looking for.

I hate to rip into such a great band, but this album just does not work in any capacity at all and is quite boring, I may even decide to trade this in for something better at my local Musicquarium rock store. Take the song "Here She Comes", it has a drum machine for god's sake!! This song is taken from the film "The Guilty" and is actually one of the better tracks despite the use of samplers, this track suits Jean's voice which is very subtle and elegant, the song itself reminds me of ENUFF Z'NUFF and THE BEATLES, a nice relaxing song.

The other truly great track, which could also be a hit for COT is the insanily catchy "Heaven Tonight", it's good but you know it feels as if they are trying to copy TEN in places, but this song is great and very addictive, and that's about your lot. This album is a strange move in direction, it may grow on me in time, who knows, but you know I was expecting a really special album from these guys after the magnificent "The Lost Cathedral" album, unfortunately this is not what we get. Better luck next time guys.

BRUNO ROCK 'Bruno Rock' (CC RECORDS)

2ND OPINION REVIEW

This album is a collection of super smooth aor with keyboards polished up to a clean sounding melodic polish. Bruno is an Italian singer/songwriter and he sings this album in his native tounge but has also done some recordings in English of which I will add a review as soon as I recieve and listen to them Vocally and musically the music is dash of STAN
BUSH, TOMMY HEART and a dollop of UNRULY CHILD/MARK FREE, so as you can guess, we are dealing with an artist who knows how to write catchy aor songs, don't be put off buying this album because it's not in English as you will miss out on a superbly crafted album.

After a few listens I found myself singalong (or at least trying) to Bruno's songs, the guitars, keyboards, chorus etc.. are all in the right places that you'd expect, and the ballads such as the lush "Dimmelo Tu", which sees a really highly sung chorus from Bruno in the style of FREDDY CURCI and ALIAS, the track also cruises along in the same style as say DAMN YANKEES - "High Enough" and one or two GIUFFRIA and FAIR WARNING tracks. The song is also quite epic sounding which makes it even more exciting and deserves to be re-recorded in English. Also hot on the trail.

Check out "Uno Sparo Nella Notte" (Fighting For Something) and "Musica Mia" (Midnight Lover" for proof of this mans great talent. The former is very much in the style of the first UNRULY CHILD album with a dash of FRONTLINE, this drifts along like "Who Cries Now", "Take Me Down Nasty", and "Let's Talk About Love" a great song that's very addictive. The latter track is very melodic and reminds of UNRULY CHILDS "On The Rise" some STAN BUSH and some HOUSE OF LORDS, very smooth and very catchy.

Another spot on song in this style is "Sei Cosi", a song that features some wonderful hooks and some really outstanding singing from Bruno. Once this album has been played a few times you can easily forget that it sung in Italian, I truly love this record and hopefully we can all urge Bruno to sing full time in English as he has what it takes to compete with anyone. Keep your eyes on this guy!!!

EMERALD RAIN 'Age of innocence'

(NOW&THEN/FRONTIERS)2ND OPINION REVIEW

Anyone who attended the Wigan God's festival in 1998 will remember how much effort Canada's EMERLAD RAIN put into that show. There we were hanging at the bar supping back a beer or two, when all of a sudden a majestic bolt of melodies diverted our attention to the stage where EMERALD RAIN were churning out the first chords of "Heart On The Line", we looked at each other and bombarded our way to the front where people were standing in awe as the band churned out riffs and melodies galore.

The most noticable thing people were talking about, was how young the band were, considering that most young bands take the grunge and punk root, it was refreshing to see a new young band playing song after song of delicious melodic hard rock, yes EMERALD RAIN left a mighty mouth watering impression on everyone that day and their cd over at the stands sold like hot cakes. I purchased the cd myself that day and listened to it over and over again on the seven and half hour train journey home. The album won much praise throughout the rock press and the band went onto to support and back Sir Bob Catley on his subsequent UK tours of 1998 and early 1999.

Yes "Broken Saviours" was an album that had everything, it rocked and showed of a new fresh young band, taking the rock n' roll circus by the balls and showing no mercy. Since then the band have come along way and have a aquired themselves a healthy fanbase, album number two "Age Of Innocence" shows a huge ammount of maturity in the bands songwriting, the band sound as if they mean buisness, and like those early VAN HALEN records "Age Of Innocence" is of a band pacing ahead, having fun with their music and creating a wolloping dose of super melodic rock songs like the brilliant "Don't Tell The Rain", which has some melodies similar in feel to TEN.

"Sleeping In The Fire" , "Endless Grey", are both two great hard rock songs, "The Methods" sees Mike Dmitrovic churning out some speedy riffs that come in and out of the song, this reminds me of a cross between MEGADETH and TESLA. The title track "Age Of Innocence" is very catchy crowd pleasing song, and the last song "Your Disguise" takes it's cue from BOB CATLEY, as the band have obviously learned alot from Sir Bob over the last year, a great song that's also in the style of DON DOKKEN's "Up From The Ashes" album.

What's interesting about this band is they never let the standards drop, each song has a nice production and all the songs fit together like a jigsaw. Play both "Broken Savious" and "Age Of Innocence" back to back and you will notice that each album is perfectly crafted, each song will force you to sing along at the top of your voice, until the neighbours are forced to call the police to shut you up!! A great album, will they still cut it for album number three? We'll have to wait and see, so keep those fingers crossed.

BOBBY KIMBALL 'All I ever wanted' (POINT MUSIC)

2ND OPINION REVIEW

If it's pure sensuous power pop you want to listen to, then look no further than former TOTO frontman Bobby Kimball's new release "All I Ever Wanted", the songs throughout this album are seductive and very catchy in the same style as TOTO, KING OF HEARTS, LA COWBOYS etc..like the opener "Till Tomorrow" a lush song with some cool keyboard work, and "My Kinda Lover". Sometimes the songs do get a bit weak and cringe worthy, but at least he keeps the quality above average like on the gorgeous ballad "Kristine", a song that nobody but Bobby could have sung.

Bobby vocally has always reminded me of GEORGE MICHAEL and here he sounds the same as always, the album has big ballads and great songs, there are alot of people doing this power pop/aor thing now like KYLE VINCENT for example, never the less "All I Ever Wanted" is a nice listen and one that I'll probably go back to for those romantic nights in by the fire over a glass of red wine with my beautiful girlfriend Rhiannon, but then again she'd probably prefer to have METALLICA or BON JOVI on, over a bottle of beer and a curry, whilst glued to the latest game of Rugby on the TV. Such is life!!

STEAMROLLER 'Steamroller' (INDEPENDENT)

2ND OPINION REVIEW

Steamroller are a cool hard rock band, the album has songs that are very catchy and hugely enjoyable, check out the song "Serpent" which is a gorgeous hard rocker, much like MEGADETH "Sweating Bullets" from "Countdown To Extincsion" Bob Watson sings exactly like Dave Mustaine on this track and I simply love it, it also has a bit of an AC/DC tint to it as well. "Powerlines" is pure hard rock like WHITESNAKE and WARRANT (Dog Eat Dog era), now on "Victorian Rose" we get a great song that's catchy, commercial and easy to sing along to, this one is very WHITESNAKE, Bob amazingly sings like DAVID COVERDALE "Slip Of The Tounge" era, it's a bit blusey in places, but is still a sharp shooting hard rock song, also the song bares similarites to EXTREME and TESLA, with some nice swirling guitar parts to enjoy.

The production is also cool and again the WHITESNAKE and EXTREME similarities pour out duiring the bouncy hard rock of the opening song "Aurora", very catchy, as is "Salivate", next to "Victorian Rose" this is my favourite track that reeks of AC/DC, MEGADETH, HELIX, KROKUS, MOTLEY CRUE and TESLA, the chorus is great and simple. These guys rock, it's a fun mini album full of great songs, that you will play over and over again. Not essential but worth a try as the songs just clicked with me, I used to always listen to MEGADETH and AC/DC, and I guess that is why I am enjoy this album as it reminds of those bands and all the wild parties I used to go to, this has potential and an albim you will play over and over again, but has all been done before so some of you may find this slightly cliched, but you know, there isn't alot of bands playing this style of chirpy hard rock these days, and I miss it, there's alot of aor been churned out and melodic bands playing epical songs etc.. but for some reason the FUN element is going out of our music and bands are taking things to seriously and need to get back to their roots, until then check out STEAMROLLER as they could very well grow in a powerful hard rock force.
