Transporter Division Report
January 2004
LTjg John Schulte
The transporter has been having some serious mechanical difficulties
with the new lithium link but its up and running with the help of the
engineers aboard St. George. The crew was complaining of head aches and
dizziness when returning from shore leave, but after investigations, we
found no equipment malfunctions.
Transporter coordinates are always needed for our site at:

Astronomy Report
Sunday, January 25
The Moon shines well to Venus's upper left early this evening —
appearing about a third of the way from Venus to little Mars.
A small telescope will show Saturn's largest moon, Titan. This
evening you'll find it four ring-lengths to Saturn's east.
The naked-eye eclipsing variable star Algol should be in one of its
periodic dimmings, magnitude 3.4 instead of its usual 2.1, for a
couple hours centered on 9:37 p.m. EST. Algol takes several
additional hours to fade and to brighten. (See the January Sky &
Telescope, page 112, or our Algol predictor and comparison-star chart
for all of Algol's times of minima, good worldwide.)

Everything operating within normal parameters here Captain. Oh, there
was that little problem with the dilithium chamber mix ratio that
almost blew up the ship...but enough about that.
I have enrolled in the SFA Engineering School. Makes sense doesn't it?

Transporter Chiefs Report
January 2004
Everything remains running smoothly in the Transporter Bay. Our delayed
reaction to reassembly by our crew seems to have decreased. We did
adjust the relays which should reduce this effect. The crew is however
advised to monitor their intake of that green mixture while on shore
leave, this may alleviate some of the symptoms.

Jan 2004 Communications Department Report
Another year has come and gone and no idea how many light years
we've traveled. The different races and conficts that we've faced
have brought our crew together.
Due to conflicting schedules, our department didn't receive enough
submissions to even put together a page for our bimonthly newsletter
but we'll try again for the month of February. My staff has been
busy putting together questionaires and such for those onboard to be
included in future issues of "The Knightly News".

COMMENTS :
In honor of "National Wear Red Day", I am encouraging my crew to show
their support for this by wearing red. Classic Trek fans who wear their
engineering uniforms have been assure that they will not be assigned
any away team duties on that day :-)
Friday, February 6, 2004 is National Wear Red Day, a day when people
nationwide will take women's health to heart by wearing red to show their
support for raising awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of
women in the United States. By showing off a favorite red dress, shirt,
or tie, Americans will unite in the national movement to give women a
personal and urgent wake-up call about their risk of heart disease.
