I had asked that the spinner be painted red with the white swirl but the paint shop suggested that it might chip and cause balance problems later so we left it polished aluminum.

We took 60 pictures and this steep bank just happened to catch the sun just right.

This tip tank is so smooth that it is hard to know if it is aluminum or fiberglass. The welded seam has been hidden completely.

FOR SOME REASON THEY MASKED THE RIGHT UPLOCK SPRING BUT NOT THE LEFT. ON THE THIRD GEAR RETRACTION, WHICH WAS ON JACKS, THE GEAR TRANSIT LIGHT WENT OUT. The spring measured 14cm collapsed with paint and 12cm once the paint was removed. They had painted over the rust on the spring so it was easy to remove. The transit light still stayed on and was fixed only after moving the left gear door control rod from in front of the landing gear tab to behind it as shown in the parts manual.

Another interesting thing the paint shop did was to place the landing light lense behind the nose bowl instead of having it between the cowling and the front bracked that is in front of the cowling. I made a new lense out of 1/16" lexan. Let's see how long it lasts. It sure looks a lot better.
