Name of dish: Caramel Apple Cake Ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1 apple 100g butter 70g sugar 2 eggs 90g flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 20ml milk Methods: Caramel: 1) Pour 1/2 cup sugar into pot, add water and boil till sugar mixture burns. 2) Pour mixture into cake pan, spread evenly on the bottom. Apple: 1) Peel the apple, remove the core and cut into thin slices. 2) Place the apple slices onto the caramel coated cake pan. Cake: 1) Add soft (almost melting) butter into mixing bowl. 2) Add 70g sugar, mix well to form a whitish yellow paste. 3) Slowly add in 1 egg, mix. 4) Slowly add in the 2nd egg, mix. 5) Sift flour and baking soda into mixture and fold the mixture. 6) Add milk, fold slowly. 7) Pour mixture into cake pan. 8) Preheat oven for 10 mins.
