So who are they?

Jamie Salé began skating with Jason Turner, who was seven years older than her. Their partnership brought them to the Olympics Games of 1994 in Lillehammer, Norway where they finished overall 12th. At 16, Jamie was the youngest member of the Canadian Olympics team. After a disappointing 16th place at the World Championships and performances in the "Skate the Nation" tour, Jamie and Jason separated. Jason had another partner and the next year, went on coaching while Jamie took the roads to a career as a single skater. She eventually placed 5th place at the Canadian Championships in 1995. Arriving at the age of 20, Jamie was at a 'turning point'.
David Pelletier first skated with Julie Laporte with whom he achieved a 7th place at the Junior World championships in 1992. He then decided to change partner and Allison Gaylor and him were paired up. In 1995, they won the chance to go to the World championships and placed 15th. At that time, David also competed as a single skater and he finished 4th the same year. Finally, David's last partner before Jamie, was Caroline Roy who was only 15 years old. After a while, the two ended their partnership and David went on, looking for another skater.
