Make Your Own Oils |

Making Your Own Scented Oils: Take some Olive Oil about 1/4 c. put in a small saucepan, add leaves or flower buds (the smell is more concentrated before they open) Over a low heat simmer the oil with the leaves or buds of desired scent, let cool and strain through cheesecloth to remove all debris, and bottle up and label.
Note: you can experiment with the types of smells you wish to make into oils, or if you have a recipe that calls for that certain oil that you just cant seem to find here is a nice and easy way to get it.
Remember: Oils you make yourself are always more powerful than those you can buy.

Getting Essential Oils From Your Flowers |
|

|
Take roses or any heavily perfumed flowers or leaves and place in a flat dish of water. Set this in the sun. The petals must be covered with water. Leave this setting in the sun for a few days. After this time you should find a film floating on top of the water. This is the essential oil of the flower. Gather this very carefully from the water, using toothpicks or whatever seems to work for you, place in jar and label. You only get a very small amount this way but it is nearly-true essential oil. |

Anointing Oils
Olive Oil - 1 Cup
Myrrh, Powdered 1 T.
Cinnamon - 1 t.
Add herbs to Olive Oil. Seal in a tight jar, let sit for 30 days. Strain through a cheesecloth and use for anointing candles or your body before rituals
