Glossary Words
AMULET: An object worn, carried or placed to dispel or drive away negetivity or other vibrations; a protective object.
ASTRAL PROJECTION: The practice of separating the conciouness from the physical body so that the former may move about unhindered by time, space or gravity.
BANE: That which destroys life; More broadly, all negetivity from evil thoughts to physical attacks.
BANISH: To drive away evil, negetive spirits.
BESOM: Broom
CENSOR: A heat proof vessel in which you burn incense; an incense burner.
CURSE: A concentration  of negetive  or destructive energy, deliberately formed and directed toward a person, place or thing.
DIVINATION: The art of obtaining knowledge through the use of tools that either point to future events or stimulate psychic powers within the user.
THE ELEMENTS (EARTH, AIR, FIRE and WATER): These four essences are the building blocks of the Universe.  Everything that exists (or has the potential to exist, contains one or more of these energies.  The Elements are also "at large" in the world and within ourselves and can be utilized to cause change through magick
INFUSION: An herbal tea; once called a potion. Recipes differ, but infusions are usually made by steeping 2 teaspoons of dried herb in a cup of hot water.
MAGICK: The process of causing needed change through the use of natural but little understood powers.  magick is a natural process.  Since it is a largely forgotten or foresaken art today, it is widely ridiculed, as well as feared.  But it is still there.
PENTAGRAM: A five pointed star used in magick for centuries.  The pentagram represents the four elements plus the fifth, spirit.  It also symbolizes the five senses and the hand. It is most often used in protective magick.
SCRYING: To gaze into a shiny or clear object such as a fire, a pool of ink, or a crystal ball; To awaken and summon psychic powers.
VISUALIZATION: The art of forming mental images or pictures that are magickally utilized to direct energy and bring the visualized need to manefestation
WICCA: A contemporary religion with spiritual roots in pre-history.  Wicca worships the lifeforce of the universe as personified by the Goddess and the God.  Until recent years it was almost always referred to as Witchcraft.
WITCH: A female or male practitioner of natural magick, spells, herbal knowledge.  A person who works with the elements and with more earthly magicks of everyday folk. Also sometimes used to describe members of Wicca.
WITCHCRAFT: The practice of natural magick using herbs, stones and candles.Spellcasting.
