Folklore On Rugs

Rugs have long been artifacts of magick.  Even the colors, patterns, and shapes possess hidden influences.  Some incorporate magickal symbols associated with the beliefs and customs.
ROUND RUGS: Symbolic of Spirituality, as well as peace. Are best used in quiet rooms such as Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room. Meditation or Temple Room.
SQUARE OR RECTANGLE RUGS: Rugs represent the material world, intellect and technology.  They are best suited for Offices, Dens, Libraries, and Entrance Ways.
OVAL RUGS: Oval rugs contain within their shapes the Cosmic Egg ( The Essence Of All That Exists)  Works well throughout the home.

NOTE: If you study most home-loomed rugs closely, you'll find minor imperfections in the weave or design.  This ISN'T a mistake, it's intentional.  Many weavers leave these imperfections in their work as a Magickal Trap Door.  If while working on the piece, the weaver was upset, depressed or ill, such energies could be woven into the rug, and ultimately transfered to its final owner. Thus the imperfections allow for an exit for all negative and unavoidable energies.
