Seize the Moment

The countdown is on.  We are only 17 days away from what may yet be a historic moment for LCHS alumni.  The forthcoming Grand Alumni Homecoming on Aug. 3-5, 2000 is the very first such occasion for LCHS.  It may be our first and only one. It may yet be our last.  Who knows?

The LCHS-AA and GAH officers have labored hard and long to pave the way for us to come together for an unprecedented grand reunion.  They have taken the initiative and done their part.  The least we can do is do ours.  Long after the GAH shall have taken place, each of us will part ways once more.  Some we may see again.  Some others we may never have the chance to meet again in our lifetime.

Let it not be said that at a time when everyone had come together for one final embrace, you chose to stay away in self-isolation; that when your presence was most needed, you chose to make yourself scarce; that when we were making history, you had your chance and you blew it.  Will you allow this rare occasion to pass you by?

Let's all seize the moment -- for auld lang syne.

REMINDERS

GAH Kit.  Alumni with pre-paid registration are advised to bring their Official Receipt to the GAH.  This will be presented to the Secretariat Desk to claim your GAH Kit at the Registration Area at the LCHS canteen.

Batch Presentation. A highlight of the Barrio Fiesta in the evening of Aug. 3, 2000 is the Talent Showcase.  All batches are enjoined to present a number each.  The presentation may be in the form of a dance number, a vocal solo, a chorus, a skit, a standup comedy, circus act, magic trick, or any wholesome form of entertainment for the sole purpose of pure fun and fellowship.

Medical Supplies.  As part of the turnover of school building to Barangay Suarez, through the initiative of Councilor Henry Dy,  there will be a donation of medical supplies to the City Government. Alumni in the medical professions are encouraged to bring along whatever free medical supplies they may have to add to the donation for the city of Iligan.
