pretty shiny thing

So I am at the ISC.. not yet living it up, but hopefully soon. I've uploaded a few pictures from the castle for your viewing pleasure... Havent done much that is exciting yet though, so you'll have to stick with just the photos. We've pretty much been orientated and then schooled.
This weekend is London and SammieBear's birthday.. that should be fun.

Last night I decided to dye my hair black with that new "L'Oreal Color Pulse" stuff, which turns out not to work so great, as evidenced by the fact that my hair is not currently black, but rather purple.
I'm still trying to decide if I like it. It's kinda a dull purple, and it's streaky.

Another Friday night where I am doing nothing. It's truly incredible how much time one can spend watching TV. I am convinced that this weekend is the one where I will really Put My Nose to the Grindstone and finish up all my case briefs. Then again, I doubt it. It's a little intimidating to realize how close it is to Christmas. I feel like I have done absolutely nothing productive since April.

Law school freaks me out; it seems like everyone is so into getting the best marks they can and landing an awesome job in 2 1/2 years. The idea of working at one job for more than like, 6 months in a row is absolutely frightening. Plus, I'm not that excited about law. I want to start up a vintage boutique with Bryn or start a magazine with Jes. I also, however, want money and security. I dunno, I mostly feel way too young to be so serious about something. Which is why I'm not.
Not that I'm dicking off; it's just that I'm well aware I could be studying much harder. And kinda disgusted about the way that so many people here seem to sign up for clubs so that they can put something on their resume, suck up to profs for the potential bonus points, and are as bland as possible so as to not risk offending someone they may end up working with in the future.
Where is the ACTION?
Not in law school..

my oven is so old-school that it not only does not have a clock or an oven light, but it doesn't even have a frigging timer on it. I have never met an oven that doesn't have a timer on it before, even including my grandmother's stove from the 1950s. Therefore, my oven must be at least 60 years old. That freaks me out. It will probably erupt and kill me one day.
Also: there is the slimey yellow oil that keeps oozing out from underneath the burners.

And then my sink: My sink keeps erupting in a vomitous volcano.. literally. It spews water and gritty black stuff up from out of the drain every so often (I think only after I use it). I have no idea what the hell this is about, since it got a thorough drain-o-ing two weeks ago. Anyone have any ideas? Tanya, you could ask Mark for me, yes yes.

So now I'm wondering if maybe I should just move into that new house with my brother. But then I'd have to:
a) Move
b) Move
c) Share a house with my brother.. who will fill my fridge with meat, and not appreciate my girlie decorating instincts.
d) plus I just frigging painted my bedroom (and it looks so pretty!) and made new curtains for the windows (which are super nice) and argh!

Additional: If Tatty doesn't quit it with the yowling I am going to go insane.

Also, check out the New Pictures! that I have up
