As for today, I'm now in my late 30's, and have finally come to terms that sophie is here to stay. I, like so many gurls, had thought that my path was one to be taken alone. It seemed next to impossible to think that I would somehow find a genetic female who would accept me for who I am.
THEN.................
Like a miracle, my Princess came into my life. Call in syncronicity or fate, but on a whim I attended the Glitz Ball, a TG conference in Phx AZ in 2002. I was planning on meeting friends from Phoenix there, and when I walked in I saw her! My first thought was "My God, I have to meet this woman" then I thought "but I'm wearing a dress!" It didn't dawn on me that she was a paid attendee of a tg conference :-) As fate had it, it turned out that this beautiful exotic creature was a good friend of my best tg friends girlfriend! I had know of her for years, but noone ever thought to introduce us. She, of course had never entertained the idea of a relationship with a transgendered person, but accepted the invite to the conference as a way of placating her friend. We hit it off immediately, and on 11/23/03 we were married in a two bride ceremony. My life has changed in so many wonderful ways since we met.
So, if you are reading this and can relate to the feelings that you are destined to be alone, take it from me, miracles can and do come true!
Today, I have a totally fullfilling relationship with a woman who accepts me in ways even I couldn't accpet myself, until I had her help. Princess, I LOVE YOU! |
