"Our
uniforms when I was at school were navy tunics, white blouses with black
shoes and stockings. We wore navy berets to church in the morning on
week days. On Sundays and feast days we wore navy dresses and hats in
the cool weather. In the warm weather we wore white silk dresses hats
shoes and stockings. We went to the school chapel every morning before
breakfast. On Sunday evenings we went up the hill to the church at the
top of the town for a special service..."
