| OUR BABY IS ON THE WAY! |
| All of you who thought this day would never arrive might find it hard to believe, but Alan and I have pro-created! Baby Caulkins is about 14 weeks along as of today, 2/21/05. I am feeling fine now, a little queasy here and there, but mostly tired. I get plenty of rest and Alan is being SUCH a good hubby through this whole deal. We are both pretty happy and excited about the baby, who is expected to arrive in late August. Watch this page for photos and updates. I will do my best to keep this page up to date. |

| BabyUpdate: March 25th 2005 We had our fist sonogram! Unfortunately It was a lot less informative than we would have liked. The Sonogram Technician said "Well, I don't see any evidence that it is a boy, but I can't say for certain right now." So we are still not sure if it's a boy or girl, but as for now it looks more like pink than blue. The good news is the baby is fine, all parts included. Currently she weighs 12oz and is about 5 inches long. I'm starting to feel her moving more and more, and sometimes she gives me a well placed kick, which is still surprising to me for the time being. I have included a sonogram pic, probably the best one we have so far. |

| BABY UPDATE APRIL 27, 2005 (25 weeks) IT'S A GIRL! I have changed the background of the page to reflect that Sophia Bell is on her way! This sonogram is actually a couple weeks old, and at the time she was 1lb 4oz and 12 inches long. Sophie is much more active now! She kicks just hard enough that she can move stuff placed on my abdomen, and Alan actually got to feel her kick the other day. She is quite contrary when I try to show others her feats of strength, and it almost seems that she is teasing us. Of course, with the discovery of what "flavor" we are having, the nursery madness has begun. I have also included a small sample of the pattern I have chosen to build the nursery around, Ballerinas! |

| BABY UPDATE June 7th, 2005 (31.5 weeks) We had another sonogram today and everything is looking great. Sophie is still a girl and weighs 3 lbs 15 oz. Her little foot is 6.6 cm long. We got to see her doing fetal breathing movements and she posed just long enough for Angie, the Sonogram Technologist, to get this 3D shot of her face. I personally think she looks a lot like her daddy. :) |
