Assistance

Merlin and his owner, Anne Marie Radke, are about to start the Observer 6K Fun Run for Merlin's backpacking title for the American Working Collie Assoc. Anne Marie does not like crowds so Merlin makes contact to calm her.

Agility

"Shadaglen California Raisin CDX is pictured at 10 years old, doing what she loves to do, agility. The Collie's single track movement allows them to stop and turn around on a dime, perfect for the fast paced agility obstacle course.

Herding

OsaRomeo

This is what Collies were originally bred to do. The same traits that enable them to do Agility, were originally used for herding. "Osa"(Storm's Nyoka Queen Kaweah HTD-I,STDsc,OTDd,HS,HRD-I ) is shown here herding cattle, while Chavanda Saphire Martini is working sheep. And below, Ryan DeYoung with his CH Lisara's Darling Daisy HIC HCT.

Family Companion

Cal

Of course, being a member of a family, is their main job now. Cal here, is about 2 1/2 years old. He was adopted through a breed rescue in Sacramento, CA. Before that, he was picked up as a stray in the SF Bay Area. He has several acres fenced, and he LOVES to chase everything. He's very curious and has a sweet, warm, loving disposition. He has a 2 1/2 year old sheltie/collie mix, friend named Murphy, and they have a ball playing together. Cal also enjoys walks, hiking in the mountains, and he's even done a little agility work. All in all, he's a great guy.
