Good morning!

My body is aching from a long day yesterday but still managed to get to work on time, with some encouragement from Benny. Although I feel optimistic and sunny inside, my eyes can hardly stay open and I feel so exhausted.

Just hope the day brightens up for me and that this will be a great weekend. I'll be on my way to JB soon and I can't help thinking about Kassim!! My favourite mamak - the place to sup!

Benny's got a speaking engagement at COP on Sunday, that's why we're headed to JB... but it'll be a good opportunity to check out the development around the Iskandar region, eat a few favourites and just learn to relax... I'm so tight with time because of my assignment, but I think I actually deserve the weekend off.

Tomorrow, we'll be rushing back to KL to make it in time for the FSCC launching... Have I mentioned yet that we're currently serving in this new FGA church? FSCC stands for FGA Serdang Community Centre. Well tomorrow's the official launching ceremony coupled with ji-bao-kai for dinner...

Then soon, it'll be Monday again - meaning work (which is not so bad) and spending the evening with Kerstin to finish up our assignment. GOD PLEASE HELP US!

I remember as a kid my mom used to tell me... Sara you have no brothers nor sisters, so make good friends.

Looking back, that simple statement must have made a huge impact on my life. With facebook taking up 35% of my online time, I realised that making and having friends have become a big part of my life. Eventhough I'm not the "remember-your-birthday" kind, I do put in considerable effort to maintain these relationships.

The most obvious indication of my priorities in terms of friendship is my ability to remember friends - even those from very early in my life. I may not recall every name, but I recall the impressions I had of them, certain mannerisms and believe it or not... I probably remember where they live too... not their phone numbers tho...

My memory serves me much better in this area than work-related information, what I learnt in school and places I've been to. I really think so.

But it was only while blogging today, that I was able to find that connection between this side of me and what my mom repeatedly told me as a child.

How astounding!

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

"Death is swallowed up in victory."

"O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?"

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:53-58 ESV

Doing my TAWG... I just realised that the main theme of this passage is talking about making the best of the rest of our lives...

What do I mean? Well, Christ was crucified and raised from the dead for the redemption of mankind... but see the "Therefore" in verse 58? It follows that knowing we are redeemed of God, we should be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord!

What a deep and solid truth, one that changes lives, one that gives purpose to living and one that I want to follow.

No time to blog! Can you imagine that... ok, let's summarise everything i can think of for now...

1. Mr Suria is right - he says the more you study, the less talkative you become... because you tend to qualify what you wish to say... er... so far quite true...
2. There is always something to do at work, even when you think you've done everything
3. Plusliner tickets (KL-Penang) are priced at RM 35 now! Daylight robbery!
4. I'm not in the mood to travel or go on holiday... but I might oblige if you ask me to go Starbucks hopping...
5. I missed the Jamiroquai concert... although I wanna console myself that it rained, it's upsetting to know that my friend went and I didn't - cry cry cry over spilt milk!
6. I don't understand why my brain feels so tired
7. Is it really necessary for me to keep-in-touch with the whole world... it's fun and all, but is it really necessary?
8. Good Friday... thank you Lord that you're systematic enough to create a world that can celebrate special occasions via a simple tool called the calendar...
9. What kind of generation will follow this one?
10. I'm not hungry... no... not after that good dinner at Chan Yew Kee (Seri Kembangan Commercial Centre) with the FSCC gang... hey Isaac, all the best in Hong Kong and God speed!

Why does a list look nice when it stops at multiples of 5 or on an even number (as long as it is not 1 number short of a multiple of 5)...

See... this is exactly why my brain is tired...
