Ships and other constructs

In the wake of the encounter at System J-25 and the Battle of Wolf 359, the prevailing opinion among Federation scientists was that all Borg vessels were based around a cubic geometrical pattern. This opinion was reinforced following the discovery of what was apparently a scout ship that had crashed on a moon in the Argolis Cluster. The scout was essentially the larger design in miniature.

It was not until stardate 46982 and the USS Enterprise D's encounter with a group of renegade drones that a non-cubical ship was seen. Since then, several more designs have appeared. Like so much else about the Borg, the exact purpose of many of them are unknown.

To the left are links leading to information about each identified vessel, as well as information about their warp and sublight propulsion systems. In addition, several non-mobile installations are described, both space and planet-based. Since the internal Borg designations are difficult to come by, generally accepted nicknames such as Cube and Sphere are used here and elsewhere in this report.
