Yes, seriously. Konami is bringing a Silent Hill title to the new Gameboy Advance system from Nintendo.
When's it coming out?
Sometime in 2001
in Japan. No official word yet on a North American release, unfortunately.
What kind of game will it be?
Silent Hill GBA is being described as an interactive novel. It will probably be very similar to the old "Choose Your Own Adventure" books-- players choose a path and see where it leads. From screens seen so far, there will be static background pictures with text over them.
How does it tie in with the Playstation Silent Hill?
It may well be a novelization of the Playstation version. If not, it's likely some kind of side story.
What characters will be in it?
From the screenshots
in the preview at Nintendoweb,
it's pretty clear that the game's opening FMV is virtually the same as
the Playstation version. Characters who will make definite appearances
so far are Cybil, Dahlia, Lisa, and Alessa. Kauffman is visible briefly
(the scene where Lisa is shouting at him), but Harry and Cheryl were nowhere
to be found. Curious...
