Reggi in Dallas Part II
While at the Dallas cafe Reggi was presented with his very own brass star he claimed he received that for eating more Chocolate Cake in one sitting than Virgil ( Way to go Reggi).
Hey Gang, Took Reggi down to the Dallas ROCK today for some chocolate cake and to meet the great group that shows up each month in the "Cheese Club". Reggi thought the "Cheese Club" was pretty cool and has decided to call it his second home. While at the food counter, the Management of the Dallas HRC presented Reggi with his own "Brass Star" commemorating his visit to the Cafe. It hasn't been decided yet exactly where the star will be placed but Reggi seems to think it would look great embedded into the food counter. Hmmmm. Oh well. Picture above shows Reggi having a great time at the Dallas HRC looking at his new star... Congratulations Reggi.... |
Sadly Reggi Leaves Dallas |
Reggi is in route to Iowa as we speak. I packed him up
yesterday and with a tear in his eye I watched him walk down to the
airplane. It was a sad day for sure watching him give "The Magster"
(my Chinese Pug) yet one more hug and kiss. Several of my neighbors showed
up at the airport yesterday to see Reggi off. Also, I was surprised to see
one of the Homeowner Association Officers there and he presented Reggi a
master key to the main front gate. Seems the homeowners secretly agreed to
allow Reggi to have his own "pass key" to get back into this gated community
if he should ever have a problem and need to come home. Wow, he was really
taken in and enjoyed by this neighborhood. He is always welcome here. BTW, as an Officer of the HRCPCC, one of the last things I did was present Reggi with an honorary HRCPCC membership. He is now an official member of the club and has his own HRCPCC membership pin packed away in his little suitcase. I'm working on his ID and login for the website so at some point he might want to login from your PC and see what's going on here on the forum. He was so proud of that pin and his new membership. He wanted to wear his new membership pin on the plane but I told him he'd play hell getting through security what with all of that extra metal on him so he agreed to pack it away. I'm going to assume one of the first things he's going to ask you is where is his HRCPCC membership pin and my "VIRGIL" pin. In case he forgets they are both attached to his new coat we bought him at Neiman Marcus last week so you shouldn't have a hard time finding them. Could be with it being in the 70's here and the 30's there you'll need to get it out asap and get him into a warmer climate. I'm glad you are taking him to Vegas. Will do him good as I know he was worried about having to walk through the snow to the outhouse to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The more you can keep him away from that "situation" the happier he will be. He's been treated like royalty here in Texas thus anything you can to do keep that "feeling" going I know he will appreciate. Also, be protective of him in Vegas. After me catching him watching the "girly shows" on the BIG SCREEN TV the other night it might behoove you to keep him out of the Vegas Cabaret's... I'm not 100% sure what's going on in Reggi's little head right now so be on the lookout. I'd also try and keep him away from those street vendors who like to pass you those pamphlets. I think you might loose Reggi mentally if he saw any of those. OK?? Also, and I'm warning you, try and keep him away from guns. After all of the sniper shootings and such he just has this morbid fear of guns thus I'm telling you he might "GO NORTH" on you if you aren't sensitive to his feelings and fears. My daughter and I took him to the Fort Worth Zoo last week (my daughter had a Biology project) and Reggi enjoyed the live animals but went sort of "ballistic" on us when he saw any of the stuffed typed animals. Thus if you have any stuffed animals on your walls, you might want to steer Reggi away from them. I'm just trying to prepare you a bit so please don't take this the wrong way. OK? I told Reggi you worked for "Maytag" and that you would probably be taking him over to the main plant. I mentioned a tour and he seemed to be pretty excited about that. I later on heard him back in my computer room shouting and screaming and when I rushed in I saw that he was looking at the Maytag website. He was all in a tizzy while looking at the "refrigerator" section. After changing the screen to the dishwashers he calmed down. I never could figure out what the deal was with refrigerators but I think something must have happened to him as a child dealing with them. Certainly seemed traumatic though. Not sure if it was something his parents did to him as punishment or if he has some sort of "Chemical Imbalance" towards refrigerators thus keep him away from them on the tour. Please let me know when Reggi arrives. Hopefully you can get the Mayor and some of your family members to meet and greet Reggi at the airport. I realize you guys probably don't have the automated passenger walkways at your airport thus if it's snowing you might want to get clearance to walk out on the runway to the plane and help Reggi down the steps. He has a bit of a problem with steps so be forewarned. I'd hate to see the little guy fall out of that plane and land in the snow on the runway. Wow, that would be some welcome... I guess that's about it Book. Take care of Reggi and enjoy him. He is a real trouper for sure. If he gets lonely I gave him a one-way AT&T calling card that will let him call me thus he is free to do so anytime. I have my home internal PBX system set to where if it recognizes Reggi's number (code) and I'm not home it will forward his call to my cell phone. If my cell phone is not tripped, it will automatically forward his call to the main Homeowner's Association emergency number up at the front gate. I think he is covered no matter what. Oh well, enjoy Reggi!! Bueller |
