On Angels Wings

My earthly vessel
in fatal revolt

A bodys cells
so rebellious they become

Fear overtakes me
as pain becomes my companion

A ravening monster
turned inward and alone

Wanting nothing to consume
but all of me

Now my frame
in skeleton form

A heart slowly pumping
within a beat I will be done

Gone away from
this mutinous shell

Lifted away
with angel wings

Full of love for what I leave behind
all my pain done
