Hello! My name is Stacie and I reside in the beautiful Fingerlakes Region of Central New York. My husband, Tom, and I have been blessed us with two precious children. I have always loved teaching and always knew that is what I would do for a career. I also knew that the Lord had opened many doors for me throughout my life in this area. I felt that it was His desire, as well, that I was a teacher. So it was no surprise that I taught special education for 10 years in the public school. In 1998, after the birth of my daughter, I really felt the Lord leading me in the direction of being a stay-at-home-mom and homeschooling. It was probably one of the most difficult decisions I have made; however, it was also the best decision. It's hard to believe we have been homeschooling for over 9 years! Since our homeschool adventure began, I have also always loved sharing with other homeschooling moms about teaching ideas, curriculum, etc. When I began conducting workshops through Exploring Education at Home, I knew that it would be a great opportunity for me. Not only would I get to teach others about a homeschooling topic of interest, but share with them ideas, curriculum, and about the joy of homeschooling all in the comfort of their homes or other relaxed setting. How great is that?! We may all have different situations when it comes to experience, ideas, training or "classroom" setup in our homeschooling situations, but the most important thing we have in common is a love for our children. I may not be a "paid" teacher in the public school anymore, but I am still a teacher. It was, and still is, the Lord’s desire. I look forward to hearing how you started homeschooling when I see you at a workshop! I would love to talk with you about hosting a Workshop. Please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you! Mission Statement: May all that I do bring glory and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Deuteronomy 28:12- “The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.” Deuteronomy 32:1-4 “Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.” |
