My pap's name is Michael, he was named after his father.  Pap was born on June 30, 1939.  His parents were Michael, and Anna.  Pap has 5 brothers-Frank, Pete, Paul, Joey, Chuckie, and 2 sisters-Faye, and Maryanne.  Growing up pap lived in a really small town called Portage, it was about 5 miles from where my gamma grew up at.  When pap was 16 he quit school, and went into the Navy to help his family.  After he got out of the Navy, he married my gamma.  They moved away from PA to Elizabeth New Jersey, because pap's brother Frank got him a job as a machinist at Westinghouse.  Gamma didn't like being that far away from her family, so when my mommy was a year old, they moved back to PA.  They lived with my gamma's parents for awhile, then moved to Pittsburgh, they have lived here ever since.
 
 

After pap was laid off in 1984 from Westinghouse, he fell back on the trade he went to school for in the Navy, which was an electrician.  So now he works for himself, which he enjoys very much.

My pap is so talented, he built the house he lives in now, all by himself.  It's a beautiful ranch style house.  When my mommy was little he built her a dollhouse, which had electricity in it.  He said that next year he will start building mine.  Pap is in the process of building a room on the house for me, because my toys have outgrown their house.

Last year I helped pap put in strawberry, and tomatoe plants.  The strawberries, and tomatoes were really yummy!  This year we planted flowers in front of the house, and around the fountain.  He teaches me alot about the outdoors.  I enjoy spending time with him.  Last year pap took me to the circus twice, sesame street live gamma, and mommy tagged along too.

Some of the special things we do together are:

• read books
• watch videos
• sing nursey rhymes together, although he's not too good doesn't know too many of the words
• swing on my swingset, he's a good pusher
• mommy, and I go to dinner on Sunday with gamma, and pap
• pap takes me for walks
