FRANKLIN ROGERS PARK

Mankato, Minnesota

There's a very short history of professional baseball in Mankato. Franklin Rogers Park was the home of the Class A Mankato Mets of the Midwest League in 1967 and 1968. Since then various levels of amateur baseball have used this intimate community ballpark, most recently the Northwoods League. Currently the Mankato MoonDogs are the primary users of this little venue and the team ownership treats their brand of baseball entertainment with all the intensity of a small-market minor league team. I have been told that the grandstand has been outfitted with a roof for the 2003 season.
