Birbal could not keep silence hearing this, he said - "I can prove you wrong certainly on one count." The man declared - "Impossible." Birbal said smilingly - "OK, hold up one of your shields and I will pierce it with one of your spears." The man kept smiling.

[It means that either his swords were not sharp enough, or the shields were not strong enough, so one should be careful enough to give contradictory statements.]
