Talyn was a beautiful, sweet little stray whom I rescued from the courtyard of my apartment building.  He was anemic from fleas, hypothermic, and dehydrated, but started to make a recovery at the hands of some fantastically caring vets.  His body, however, just wasn't strong enough to regulate his temperature on its own and after a week and a half, it just gave in.

Despite the sad end of that story, however, there is still a happy ending in it: rather than dying in the courtyard or under the building (access through grates), alone, scared, hungry and cold, Talyn died warm, well-fed, and surrounded by love and compassion, knowing that he was cared for and would never be alone.  That in itself was a gift, and for that reason I do not and never will regret a single minute or cent spent in caring for him those last 10 days of his life.

It is my hope that this page will help save other kittens like him, or at least give them a fighting chance, by creating a "forum" through which pet owners and lovers can exchange information and stories.
