El-Cha
Time froze.
The stranger’s azure gaze gently met Michall’s dark stare with the cool blue of his own.
This was no man.
This one had the same slightly tilted eyes and upraised brows that Ra-Nu and Ra-May possessed. His eyes were the bluest and purest hue Michall had ever seen, except when he met Ra-Nu’s bold stares. He was as golden and full of light as Michall’s Elfen companions with a grace about him that pronounced him different yet the same.
‘Yes, there was no doubt,’ he thought. ‘This being is an Elf.’
Nearly breathless, Ra-May blurted, “You are the one! You are the silent one!”
Nodding his head as if to say, ‘correct’, he gifted her with an enchanting smile.
“Who are you and how did you come to be imprisoned in yon tree?” Ra-Nu demanded.
The newcomer looked up to meet Ra-Nu’s stare. Ra-Nu stepped back, his mouth gone suddenly dry.
Ra-Nu did not know this Elf yet set within his unfamiliar face was the familiar eyes of an old friend. He was shaken by the force of the memory.
“I,” spoke the Elf, “am El-Cha, brother to the King.”
