Yes! I'm an artist...I know how to...Draw

I do draw. I'm not really good in sketching and coloring; I'm relying my skills if I feel like doing it. I can't draw something or anything if I'm not in the mood to. What make me like drawing are the sketches I saw from storybooks and animation. I copy some scenes or a character from the books or Anime and then draw them the way I like them to be. They don't look the same as the original drawing but in some situation I draw them as exactly as they are and it was a pride for me. Sometimes I thank anime for inspiring me to draw.

Drawing is not really an in-born talent; I started to appreciate drawing and sketching when I'm in High School. Back then I don't use color as a medium. I just content myself with crayon and pencil. When I step into college, there I met a friend who knows how to design. Actually she's not good in drawing but colors and aesthetics is one of her fields. She gave me as a Christmas gift a complete set of oil pastel colors. There and then I started to experiment how to use color in some of my drawings.

Since oil pastels have some disadvantages in my drawing (smudges of color on the part of the drawing that it should not be in) I turn to poster color as my medium. Actually a project in school makes us use poster color in painting a design. There I started to use brushes and experiment colors through color combination. I don't buy different poster color. I only have to purchase primary color and use them to create another color. I use blue, red, yellow, black, white and brown colors.

Try to view my portfolio and see what's I'm talking about.
